This was our first time visiting the new Popeye’s location in Union Township. We are always excited to support new businesses in our neighborhood but there will have to be some major improvements made here before we would even consider returning. We ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and a large Diet Coke at the drive-thru and were told to pull forward and that our sandwiches would be brought out to us in “5 or 6 minutes”. After about 12 minutes the gentleman who had waited on us at the drive-thru came out and asked to see my receipt. He then told me that our sandwiches were ready and that he would be right back. To which I thought if they’re ready why didn’t you bring them out with you? After another 6 minutes of waiting, I went inside. The gentleman was no where to be found and I asked one of the 3 workers for our sandwiches. He then went in the back to get the man who had waited on us. While I was waiting one of the other employees kept stopping what he was doing (coating chicken), looking up at me and laughing. I told him that it wasn’t funny and that he should keep working. It was very bizarre. Then the original guy came back out (I’m assuming he was the manager or owner) and said that our order still was not ready and that he was very short-staffed (aka I don’t want to pay people a decent wage to work). Read moreI don’t have a problem with their food but I do have a problem with their business practices. I placed an online order for over $50. When I got there to pick it up I found out that they were unable to fill as they were out of everything I had wanted. I would have had to wait for their truck to get there for them to fill my order so I just had them cancel it. The manager voided my order and told me to hang on to the receipt, which I did. Fast forward one week. The money was never refunded to my bank account so I went back to the restaurant. The original manager who had voided my order originally wasn’t there and the manager that was there wasn’t interested in helping me. They took my name and number and told me that it would be taken care of. It wasn’t. Another week later and I still haven’t had my money refunded or even heard from the manager. Read moreOne star simply because there isn't an option for none. Ordered two meals and was informed they were out of fries. Also, could not take cash, only card. ?? Ok, fine, it happens, ill take mashed potatoes.and pay with a card. Would have been nice if they would have been even close to warm. Chicken sandwich was disgusting, all breading and no chicken. Greasy as it can get. My daughter got chicken tenders which weren't much better. This is our third or fourth horrible experience here. We will never return. My advice would be to get your staff some much needed training (how do you run out of French fries?), and PLEASE hire someone that can speak the language of the country you've chosen to operate in. I look forward to seeing what replaces this location as it surely cannot stay open...
