Today 3/21/15 @ 6pm was my worst Target experience ever...I love Target & I usually go to the Target on route 22 but today I decided to go to the one on Vauxhall Rd, & boy do I wish I would have gone to regular Target...This particular store has a Starbucks inside, so once I had finished purchasing my items I went over to Starbucks & things went left from there...First I pay for my Drink and wait for someone to make it...the young lady makes the person that was after me drink first...I informed her that I felt very insulted by that and her retort was that it was a quicker drink to make and she didn't think it was going to be an issue...i informed her that I've never seen that happen at Starbucks before and I'm appalled. Her co-worker who was washing dishes began laughing about the matter and they began to discuss the matter amongst each other as I'm waiting for my drink...and I asked them to stop because it was over with & then one of the young ladies began speaking to very nastily that this is how Starbucks works...I told her it was over with and if she continued to go on and on I was going to get the manager and again in a very disrespectful manner she exclaimed go get the manager it doesn't matter...at this time a customer that was waiting for his drink and also an employee of Target began to converse with me & the 2 workers and I explained to him the issue was a done deal and as he continued to hold a conversation about me to the young ladies...I asked him to mind his business and he then became so belligerent that a Union Police Officer approached him in a aggressive manner and I demanded at that moment to speak to a manager...I spoke with Tim and he was very professional and aided me with getting in contact with corporate office...The 2 workers lacked professionalism and should be retrained...definitely not suitable to work at...
Read moreAs Black American, I am reviewing another Black American who provided less than stellar customer service while and after checking out my Target purchase. This representation of a Target employee looked past me as her next customer in line to the two Indian decent men behind me and waved them forward acknowledging she'd service them in her line. As I stood there waiting to be checked out, this Target employee never gave any eye contact, greeting, nor asked if I needed a bag, and no thank you after paying...until I said thank you when my receipt was handed to me with her arm extended behind her back while never turning around to acknowledge me...a customer whose hard earned money keeps Target in business and her employed.
As I collected my purchase of 3 perishable food items and 1 non-perishable item, she greeted the two Indian decent men and immediately asked if they need a bag for the 1 item they purchased! Unbelievable!
I said to this Target employee, "Interesting. You never asked if I needed a bag!" No response from her.
I can no longer overlook this treatment from Black Americans towards other Black Americans they provide customer service to, thus this review with the hope that Target in Vauxhall "COLLECTIVELY" trains "ALL" employees on customer service. Regardless of who you are or whom your customer is, everyone should be treated equally and greeted with respect. Also, you never know who that person is that your providing customer service to. Keep that in mind because I may be the employer at your next...
Read moreI ran into Target last min, and there were barely any workers for assistance. But I managed to bump into the ones I needed. There was a young man who was working in electronics, he hlep me get the earbuds I was looking for that ended up being on clearance in the store. Happy I went in. For a great deal. I ended up buying the wrong thing and had to go to customer service to do a return. That's where I had the pleasure of meeting Shernia, who was so polite and respectful and had such great patience with the customers. The young lady ahead of me was most definitely on my nerves, but Shernia was so calm in helping while keeping a genuine smile on her face the whole time. She offered me an apology. Which wasn't needed as I saw what she had to experience. And I was proud to see how she handle her self in that situation. So I wanted to leave a review of the staff that was present and helpful and she was one of them. She made my experience so much better . I truly do appreciate some good customer service it's hard to come by now and days. Overall, the store looked the worst I've ever seen, not organized things, clothing all over the place making it hard to find what was needed, that to Target longer than expected. This is honestly the first I ever seen this store in such a manner. There was barely anyone on the cashiers. This is my local store, so I'll be back. I just hope it looks more presentable and...
