It hurts my heart to give HEB anything less than a four star āļø review at minimum. It is my favorite store in the world and does so much for communities and humanitarian support. But I feel like it is my duty and obligation to report poor service⦠I know HEB deserves to have the best employees and frankly, Iāve never had to worry about this here before.
Itās the florist. Make a separate business in Google so I can rate just the florist and restore stars to HEB grocery review. But also, HEB frankly deserves better.
We needed help picking out flowers š¹ for my sisterās graduation. I saw an employee chasing a lady, a customer to hand her something she forgot so I thought they were friendly and that we were in good hands. But I was wrong.
The lady ignored me when I went to the counter. She finally looked up at me, smiled and went back to her phone texting. I could clearly see text message on her screen but I thought maybe it was work related and donāt be judgy⦠give her a minute. But she never came back. I tried to stay calm but graduation was today so I was a bit flustered at this point. I decided to walk around a bit and the lady never came to help me.
I saw her go up to the other girl that worked in florist section and they were looking at us and smiling and laughing. It was just me and my mom⦠Iām not dressed weirdly or inappropriately so Iām not sure why they were laughing. They never came to help.
The other girl started vacuuming and was vacuuming right behind where we were. She follows us around with the vacuum⦠I donāt want to make assumptions but after the ignoring, the snickering and this I assumed she just wanted us out of there so we didnāt bother them.
Itās such a shame. Iāve never been treated like this at an HEB. An older lady (customer) saw us choosing pre-cut flowers and took pity on us and said āHere honey, you need one of these bagsā and handed the flower bag to us to help us not drip water. The older lady also told us that she couldnāt get the help she needed.
Once we got to the register one of the bouquets š we bought (we ended up buying multiple, one medium and some small singles to add to it).. one of them didnāt have a barcode. The cashier was super sweet and helpful and when I told him the florist wouldnāt help us, he walked over and got the product info for us. It was super sweet of him and reminded me of what an HEB employee should be.
Iām not sure what the deal was but I was so disappointed and felt kind of bullied by the girl following close with the vacuum and with the other texting and ignoring us and then then snickering. I donāt feel comfortable going to the flower section now.. I know those girls say mean things and maybe they donāt like being bothered.
Again, I am so sad to leave HEB a bad review ever and never expected Iād need to⦠but I feel like this deserves attention and for management to know about. I didnāt get the girls names. Iām too scared to go back there...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I needed to run outside, since I was waiting for the pharmacy to open, I asked a bagger where I could leave my basket to run outside real quick he very kindly replied sure you can leave it over there....so I was walking out the door with just my purse in my hands and the lady from the makeup department (looked like a manager cuz she wasn't in red) came running after me asking if I had a receipt....I said no that's why I'm leaving it right there and not taking it out of the store as I hadn't purchased it yet...she gave me a lame excuse about that she noticed I had frozen food in my basket and said she needed to put it in the freezer. I said it's just frozen juice it will be fine, she said well how long will it be I said not even five min....I felt very offended because why was this chic following me around (since it had been at least 10 min since I had been in her department) and why was she chasing me for a receipt when I wasn't taking the basket with me outside....I will never shop here again after this experience just rude and offensive that she was apparently profiling me or chasing me down thinking and treating me like I was a thief. even though I had made no attempt to take the basket even past the service desk....let alone with me out the door. I don't know her name but thanks to her I will never shop at another HEB. And I really hope her supervisor knows that they have a racist beauty department employee. She seemed nice while I needed her assistance then I guess she didn't like how I looked so she turned into Cagney and Lacy trying to solve a crime that she thought was going to be committed She treated me like a criminal and no store should have employees that chase down customers for doing nothing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff members at this HEB are rude from management all the way down to the baggers. I will not be going back to this location again. Everytime I've been I get rude attitudes and staff just not wanting to help when I have a question of where something is. I know the baggers are not making much and it's a summer job for most of them, but customer service needs to be taught. HEB is my favorite store to shop at, I spend enough money here to be treated with respect. As I was leaving at 7:59pm, I was almost at the doors by the pharmacy section of the store, an employee stopped me and said these doors are closed, rudely. She then said you have to walk around and pointed to the other doors. I told her it's 8pm, and the sign says the doors closed at 9pm. She said, I don't make the rules lady, and she kept her finger pointed to the other door. This is not the first time I've encountered the door issue, HEB makes enough money to put up signs at least. But, I've had enough with the rudeness. I spoke to a manager previously and he did nothing.
I live 2 miles from this HEB and would like for this to be a better store.
I shop at HEB for all of my groceries, I even got the new credit card for that reason. I never expected HEB to be this bad, this location really needs some new management and customer service training. (Maybe it's just the evening shift, I usually only go to...
