We thought we'd give this place a try since it's in our local HEB. Worst customer service and we won't ever be back (not that they'll care). We went at 6pm (they advertise they're open till 8) and there was no chicken left except for a couple of quarters. No mashed potatoes, no guac, and the chips & queso we received is a joke considering the cost. $3.99 for a serving of stale chips that come in a box that's the size of a burger box from McDonald's! With very little COLD queso. Since they didn't have chicken we settled on a single beef fajita bowl. The price of the fajita bowl didn't match the price shown online. Apparently they weigh the meat first. That's fine, if it's advertised that way, but it's not and that lead to questions on our part. We weren't rude, we just wanted to know how it was priced. Read moreI really wanted to like Flaming Bird, but after two frustrating experiences, I don’t think we’ll be back. Both times we visited, we encountered the same rude employee who made ordering feel like an inconvenience. Her tone and attitude were dismissive, and she seemed unhappy to be there.
This time, I specifically ordered the Tuesday meal deal as listed on the menu, only to be met with confusion and an unhelpful response. When I answered her question, she told me they didn’t even have what I ordered, so why offer the option in the first place? On top of that, her station had multiple dirty knives sitting out, which didn’t inspire much confidence in cleanliness.
After waiting over 10 minutes for absolutely nothing, we left empty-handed again. This was our second visit and, unfortunately, our second bad experience. With poor customer service and long, pointless waits, I can’t justify giving this place another chance.

Nothing mayor happened but it was the way he responded to my question in a nasty demeanor. I went up 20 min before 10 not knowing they weren’t open yet & asked how long before the chicken was ready, he responded in a plain rude way stating they weren’t open until 10 which is fine it was the way it was stated. I left and came back at around 10:02 he looked at me and waited a little before walking up to me I asked if I could get 2 birds & yet again asked me to give him some time because they weren’t open yet, so which was it?
