Y Bubble Boba Tea Shop — Restaurant in Universal City

The first few times at this location, the drinks were fantastic, no complaints! That’s why we kept coming back. The last time we went, all three of us got bad stomach aches, and didn’t finish our drinks. We each had different milk tea with boba. Thought maybe it was bad milk or similar, and that didn’t stop us from returning today. Two of the three milk teas were very watered down, they were flavors we’ve tried previously, so we knew what to expect. The tea was like water and actually leaned towards having a dirty aftertaste. This was very disappointing because we’d be looking forward to this all week. I returned and let the gentleman working about the watered down/weird taste, he offered to remake them. The older Asian lady came from back, hands on hips, and looked so irritated. I gently let her know I was sorry, but that these did not taste good (she was the one who made them). She just glared at me, hands on hips still, not saying a single word. I thanked her, took the drinks from the counter and left. Again, these did not taste right and began making me feel sick. All three drinks went into the trash. Which is sad, I don’t like wasting. I wanted to pass this along in case anyone else has had a similar experience, you know you’re not alone. There was a sweet girl who took my order. The people in front of me ordered something and were confused on what they ordered. The cashier was explaining to them but the owner (doesn’t really understand English) literally snatched the two ice creams out of the cashiers hands while she was explaining to the customers of what they ordered. She was screaming at the poor girl in a different language and you could tell the cashier was a bit overwhelmed. That owner is so rude! Do better! It wasn’t her mistake it was the customer who misunderstood the menu. Screaming and snatching things out of your employees hands in front of your paying customers is just tacky and rude! She’s human, so what if the misunderstanding would’ve been the cashiers fault(which it wasn’t) We all make mistakes! It’s part of...

Was my first time at this place today October 13th, 2024. I'm from the East Coast, so Dunkin Donuts is everywhere. I just moved here in the middle of July.

Was bored watching my Patriots getting their butts kicked. Wanted to try something new. I found this place. I ordered myself a D2. Cappuccino- with Bubble. WOW! it's very tasty. I have no complaints.

Language barrier was a little hard. But other than that. Drink is very tasty.
