To walk through my experience from start to present because my phone to date still isnt working right. A young lady helped me who was very kind but it was easy to tell she wasnt experienced in cell phone repair nor handling the store front on her own. I left my phone with her for repairs for about 3 hours plus and upon returning the store owner assisted me. The store owner decided it wasnt a good idea to tell me the back of my phone was broke during the repair process until i pointed out that the phone back wasnt the original. Then the store owner told me the situation. Now im understanding of hurdles happening during the repair process but for me to find out and then have the OWNER tell me what happened i feel wasnt the best customer service. I would have liked to be told what happened before i noticed the mishap. In my opinion thats just good customer service. Then, i noticed after examining my phone that the young lady who helped me originally damaged the side pretty bad with her tools. I pointed this out and the young lady proceeded to tell me it was already there. Now again, im a very understanding person and was fine with the damage as it cant be seen with my case. But for some reason this young lady decided to lie to my face and say it was already like that. My phone always had a protective case and the damage was not there before bringing it to this repair shop. A simple acknowledgement of the damage and taking responsibility would have been just fine. When i took my phone home to test the new battery i noticed as soon as i left the shop my battery was draining at an abnormal rate, very similar to when i brought it in. I brought my phone back and spoke with the owner and discussed my frustrations. She didnt care. Its very clear she is just there for the money. No customer service skills were present what so ever. She passed me on to a young man who seemed to be one of the more informed repair folks. He discussed how battery repairs work and that sometimes the first battery used simply doesnt work. Now i dont know about the details of replacing a battery but im going to give this shop the opportunity to get my phone back up and running at optimal battery performance. I guess the long and short of it is honesty is the best policy, if someone is left to run a store on their own they should have the proper experience, owners should be the most skilled in customer service and not just there to collect money and pass off problems to their staff, an owner who is not skilled in customer service or cell phone repairs probably shouldnt be available to customers at all thats what the hiring...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY HERE. They use very cheap replacement screen found online in bulk for less than $10 each, yet advertise them as "top of the line" and charge $100+. Upon giving them my phone, I had to argue with the lady at the front desk because she INSISTED they NEEDED THE PASSWORD to my device! This is not true, do not give them your password! They will claim its for testing purposes but its only to see if the front camera works, which you can do when they give you the phone back. When I had the screen replaced on my 6s I noticed it wasnt laying flush with the phones shell, I mentioned it to the lady at the counter and she told me it was fine and not to worry about it(I'll get back to this later). Within hours of the screen replacement the screen started to show signs of pixel burn around the top corners and left hand side. You will also notice the resolution of the screen replacement is nowhere near that of a screen from a factory phone. Now back to the screen not laying flush, when I went to put a case on the phone, the side of the case had dug into the side of the screen where it was sticking out, cracking it in the corners and completely detaching the side of the screen. I called to try and bring my phone in for another replacement but they were closed on a normal buisness day due to snow, I had to wait another day to bring it in. In that time the cheap screen continued to crack and get worse and worse. Once I brought it in(the next day) they had to go through corporate to see if they could replace my screen without charge. The man at the desk told me it may take a couple hours for a response but offered me a 25% discount to get the replacement right then instead of waiting, yeah right. After sitting there for over an hour they tell me theres nothing they can do and its not their fault. This was 100% on thier end, 100$ is nothing and I'd gladly pay it to fix my screen had it broke because of me. Do not waste your time/money here, it will not fix the problem in the long run.
Side note: The entire time the store owner tried to discredit my story and make me out to be a liar. She insisted there was no way the amount of damage was from the original cracks and that I dropped the phone or threw it in the street, which is false. Further damage occurred to the already cracked screen during the day the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVerizon convinced me to get a Zagg glass screen protector for my Samsung S9. While the Zagg does protect the phone screen, the protector itself cracked within only a few weeks. For the high cost of the Zagg ($60+) the company offers a lifetime warranty. However, the particular model of screen protector for my phone is indefinitely backordered. The cracks to my screen protector were so bad that my phone was rendered virtually useless.
I was unbelievably relieved when Zagg referred me to CPR Cell Phone Repair!! They - unlike any Zagg kiosks in the area, or any Verizon store, or the Zagg company - had an ample supply of my particular screen protector. The employee in the store diligently applied the new screen protector and took responsibility for returning my broken protector to the Zagg company (required in order to get replacement n/c).
All I had to pay for at CPR was $10 for installation. This was a bargain! Had I ordered a replacement screen protector from Zagg, I would have had to pay $10 for shipping up front. Then, once I received the replacement, I would have had to go to a Zagg kiosk and pay an additional $10 for installation. And, finally, I would have had the additional burden of mailing my broken protector back to Zagg.
CPR employee was courteous, knowledgeable and completed my whole replacement process in less than 15 minutes. (Just to talk to Zagg customer service, I waited nearly as long on hold).
