My mother has been talking about going for a Dairy Queen for months. She loves them and I have loved them since my very first little Dairy Queen cone at age two and now the tradition has been passed on to my little girl who had her first Dairy Queen at age 2. I received exceptional customer service when the store was very busy and I had an unusual question: My mother has been under the weather for a few days and so, I thought it would cheer her up, since she's been craving a Dairy Queen for - as I said - several months now, if I brought her home one. My drive home was going to be well over 30 minutes (Even up to an hour) because it was rush hour and I headed home from a very commercial area of the Philadelphia suburbs. When I asked about how Dairy Queen would recover if it melted during my long drive home and I put it back in the freezer, I was not given an answer. Rather, the woman who was dispensing wonderful Dairy Queen goodness into a cup for my order took it upon herself to create a virtual mini freezer for my to-go cup. She put the cup with the Dairy Queen itself into a much larger container that she filled with ice. She then put the Dairy Queen in the ice bath into one of the boxes they serve sandwiches out of and that box went into a bag. Ingenious! Not only did the Dairy Queen arrive home, after over an hour in the car with me, it was perfect as it was when I left the Dairy Queen restaurant itself. And thank you so much, King of Prussia Dairy Queen employee, for caring about making sure my mother got a perfect Dairy Queen when you were busy with a lot of customers. Such personal investment in customers is a rare thing in this post COVID world. The experience I have just described in detail truly warmed my heart. (PS - maybe Dairy Queen contains healing properties, or maybe it was the extra TLC in the particular cup of Dairy Queen my mother enjoyed, but the very next morning she was feeling...
Read moreI purchased a medium sundae and the amount of ice cream in the cup was not enough to fill it. I asked the employee to show me a small cup because i thought they might have used the wrong size. The difference between the small cup and the medium medium cup was minimal. The strawberry syrup looked like measly spoonful amount. When asked how much it would cost for and additional spoonful … they wanted 85 cents! Pathetically ridiculous. Mind you this is for an additional spoonful! To add insult to disappointment, as I was walking out of the store, I heard the employees snickering and laughing at me. Since I’ve been coming here for years, I never thought about reading the reviews for this location. Lesson learned! So disappointed in corporate for not doing anything but apologizing to customers. Apparently the posted reviews show these practices have been going on for some time. I’m really surprised that Dairy Queen would allow their reputation be tarnished by issues that could be easily addressed. I do not recommend this Dairy Queen! Truly disappointed.
So I received the reply below from Dairy Queen. Different wording, same reply to all complaints. Stay away! There are so many options for ice cream and everything else they offer in the area. Why would you even want to have a bad experience. Sorry Corporate/ownership your response to my issues and everyone else’s sounds to generic.

Read moreIce cream is great but management is disgusting and needs to be spoken too. Granted I’m unsure of what transpired before I walked in but all I seen was an older women talking down on teenage kids as if they were garbage when I walked in. “No one’s good here” “you guys don’t know anything” “it’s hard to train people who suck” (they’re kids and it’s ice cream?????) “idc if there are customers are here.” “You’ll have to wait” — just to name a few of the disgusting remarks made in front of us.
Let’s just say if it were MY kids or family spoken to like that we’d have an issue. Talk to people like human beings— not animals. She either needs to step down because she’s visibly unhappy, or take some serious anger management classes. Major Karen vibes. Nothing that serious could have possibly happened for her to borderline verbally abuse and belittle teenage kids who work there and cannot defend themselves in fear of losing their jobs and pure embarrassment, in front of GUESTS. She’s clearly unhappy about where she works and that’s not right for kids to be belittled and spoken down to in front of guests. I’ve made corporate aware of the toxic behavior because i was THAT disgusted by managements behavior to their team and customers. Horrible dining experience. The workers aside from management handles themselves very well. Provided exceptional service (a lot better than their superior) to us considering the...
