Called with a question. Very condescending and rude response from employee. I was trying to order for in-store pickup and wanted to find out if they had the dress in stock so that if it didn’t fit, I could exchange with a different size. She interrupted to ask (very judgmentally) why I couldn’t just come to the store and buy it there. I explained I’m working at the moment and if it’s in stock but if there’s only one left or something, I don’t want it to sell out before I could get there. She sighed as if my question was the biggest inconvenience and asked what the dress was, so I told her the name and had just started to describe it when she interrupted me and asked for a description (which I had already started to do) since she said they can’t look up the name/item number from the store. Turns out it’s not even in-stock, which is understandable. She went on to patronizingly explain how ship-to-store works and how different stores have different merchandise and was constantly talking over me when I tried to tell her I understood. I’m not five years old, I know how retail works, but since she had repeatedly asked me why I couldn’t just come buy it in the store, I had assumed that meant it was likely already in the store, especially since my question was about whether it was in stock in the first place, but she had interrupted me to ask why I couldn’t just come in. And even when I had explained, she continuously asked me why I couldn’t just come in to buy it. Why would she press so hard to have me come to the store to buy it if there’s a good chance they wouldn’t have it? I worked retail when I was in high school/college and I definitely know how frustrating it can be, but I don’t understand how a simple question about whether an item is in stock could warrant such a rude and condescending response…
Edit to add: called the Whitehall location after this. The woman there was unbelievably nice and went far above and beyond what I ever would have expected. She was able to look up the dress online (contrary to what the woman from this Center Valley location told me, so apparently that was a lie) and even had me text her a picture to make sure she had the exact color I was talking about. Again, way above and beyond, never would have expected such a kind gesture!!! It was out of stock at that location, too, but she went out of her way to suggest a different location that would probably have it in stock. Please visit the Whitehall location! Don’t even waste your time in the Center...
Read moreI purchased 4 items from clearance (buy one get one free). My special needs daughter is not able to try on clothes at the store, so I confirmed the return policy - 21 days. One of the 4 clearance items did not fit. I returned to the store for an even exchange. I was told they would not exchange and only refund me $9 for a $30 item without the receipt but if I brought back the receipt I could make the exchange. Two days later I returned with the receipt, I was told I still could not exchange and I would be refunded $11 because it was buy 1 get 1 free and the shirt I was returning was the free one. I explained I wanted to keep the other 3 and I just wanted to exchange the item for one of equal value. I explained that it would be the same as bringing back all four pieces and re-purchasing them with one different piece of the same value. She said I had to bring back all 4 pieces to exchange the one. When I asked her to speak to the manager. She told me she was the manager. I asked for a number to contact someone and she said there was no one. I left my number In hopes of receiving a call. I have not received one yet. I work full time, tomorrow I will return to the store for the 4th time in 5 days, return all the items and repurchase 3 and replace the one. Francesca is a boutique store with boutique prices - I expect better customer service. This was not a boutique experience. It seems once the sale is complete the customer service ends. UPDATE: upon my return the worker who claimed she was the manager was not the. A lovely woman named Sharon helped me and the transaction was complete within minutes. She said the even exchange could have been completed with the skus from the receipt. There was no need for a 4th trip. I never received a call from the store as I requested and my email to the company has yet to be answered. I raised the rating by 1 star because Sharon was so pleasant...
Read moreWas just there on 3/14/2020 around 2:30pm. One of the workers asked loudly to the other coworker “is so and so still in quarantine or should I take her off the schedule completely?!”
It was very inappropriate to shout that so everyone in the store could hear. Someone did let the coworker know that it was unwise to say something like that out loud for everyone to hear, and the girl worker who asked the question just...
