Jos A. Bank — Local services in Upper Saucon

I was recommended to go to Jos A. Bank to look for suit/tux rentals for my wedding due to being told that "they have a better selection". Within minutes of walking in I actually found the exact suit that I was looking for on a manikin and the perfect bow tie to go with. This is what made me want to continue with them. Unfortunately everything that happened afterwards is what earned them a 1 star review. The gentleman that helped us browse and set up my wedding account made multiple mistakes with the initial documentation and then also quit later that week. When each of my groomsman went over for their fittings, not only did they each have to wait for an extended amount of time just to be helped, but when they would get to the register, there were issues related to the account I had set up with the first guy. Due to this, the gentleman working at the register would call me each time one of my groomsman were there in order to clarify things. Each of my groomsman spent over an hour at the store just to get fitted. Due to the continued issues I eventually had to physically go back to the store, not just once, but 2 different times to rectify these issues that the first guy created. When I went to try on my tux for my wedding I was not happy. I had to pull up the picture of the manikin from my first visit and show them that I wanted the same slim fit as requested. Even though I requested a slim fit, the same fit that was on the manikin, I was told during my try on, the week of my wedding, that I would have had to have a smaller waste size in order to have the slim fit that I wanted. From start to finish I had to spend way too many hours of my life at this store and on the phone having to reexplain everything multiple times. They require that your rental be returned the following day after the event, but I was unable to make it back to the area before they closed. After all of the issues they had created, and stress they caused me during the entire process, they still made me pay a late fee. I strongly suggest not wasting any of your time...

I have been a loyal customer at this location for some time, consistently receiving service rated at four stars or higher. However, recent staffing changes have resulted in a significant decline in the quality of service, ultimately prompting me to take my business elsewhere.

During my most recent visit, I experienced an unacceptable level of disregard from the staff. Despite waiting for approximately 15 minutes without acknowledgment, I proactively requested assistance. One employee informed me that they were currently helping another customer and would assist me afterward. While waiting, I noticed another staff member becoming available, so I politely requested her assistance. However, she blatantly ignored my request, continually looking around to assist other customers—including one who was already being helped by the first associate I had spoken to.

After repeated efforts to find a suitable three-piece suit, it became evident that I would need to place a custom order. As I began the process with an associate, she abruptly walked away without explanation. After waiting a few minutes, I looked around the corner only to find her assisting another customer. At that point, it was clear that my business was not valued, and I made the decision to leave.

My family came here to buy a suit for my husband and the salesman Victor helped us. Victor is the absolute epitome of a suit salesman!! You guys should have him train other associates! He was never pushy or made us feel rushed even though we kept him past closing time. He answered all of our questions, even the simple silly ones, in a detailed enthusiastic way. You can tell he truly loves his job and just wants to make the world a better dressed place!! He made sure to ask my husband specifically how he felt, usually people just ask the wives but Victor reiterated multiple times that he wanted my husband to look and feel his best. We got a suit, shirt, shoes, ties, socks and a pocket square for $600 which honestly feels like a steal with the quality of everything. Even how everything was packaged showed how much Victor cared.
