Natalie has been my hair whisperer for years and my husband's before that. She makes sure that each visit is an experience, personalized to you and your needs and wants. I can honestly say I've never left an appointment feeling unhappy with my outcome. Considering that I wear my hair short and get it cut every 3 to 6 weeks, depending on what length phase I'm in that says something!

You'll start off with a consultation where you will have a conversation about your end goals. If you have an idea of what you want, show pictures! This will help make sure you're on the same page for "short" and "blonde" or "curly". She will let you know if that will work, but also let you know if it won't work for your hair type and maintenance goals. Don't worry, if your dreams of an ultra blonde angled bob won't work, she'll help find an alternative that will work! This is important because before Natalie, I have had cuts that were above my skill level for maintenance, "short" cuts that were like a buzz cut or more like a shaggy, and blonde that has ran from very very warm to too cool, neither of which works for my skin tone.

After a relaxing wash, you'll go back to the chair and start the work. The environment is soothing, with a boho feel, oils being difused and plants bringing some green and natural elements. There's generally music playing through the salon but at a reasonable volume to where conversations can be held at a normal volume.

Speaking of conversations you can chat with her on all kinds of topics, but dogs are definitely a passion! Expect frequent "How's this feeling?" Questions when you're making a change, helps keep you both on the same page.

Before styling, you'll have a chance to touch it, see how it feels and make sure that it aligns with your vision. Speak up if something doesn't feel right -- you won't be judged and she would much rather have you let her know so she can fix it if there's something that needs tweaked.

After your style, you'll end your appointment getting your next one set up. Don't forget to add on any products that you need when checking out!
