On June 2nd, 2020, I asked an employee of mine to take a letter, and have it mailed via USPS. My employee misunderstood, and took it to UPS where he was charged $28 to ship a letter to Virginia. When he returned, I was confused as to why it would cost $28 to ship a letter to Virginia. I called the UPS store and left a message, but then just a few minutes later decided to go to the UPS store location myself since it was just across the street.
As soon as I arrived, a woman (later identified herself as Tonya) came walking up from the back asking "Is that him?!" I acknowledged that I had just called, and there was a mistake or misunderstanding in shipment methods. Tonya responded, and said "The next time you send someone over here, you need to make sure you tell them what you want." She was visibly angry and stressed. I told her that I didn't believe that was an appropriate response. She continued to berate me about not giving my employee enough information to ship a letter. I asked her is she was serious about her demeanor, because of how out of place her anger seemed to be. She then continued to tell me that she was going to suffocate me, and that I was not to come back into the store.
Her manager was behind the counter the entire time, and was the person I walked over to initially when coming through the door. Eventually, her manager was able to get Tonya to go back to a different area, refunded and rebilled the transaction. It is evident to me that this happens at least semi-frequently, considering how easily set off Tonya was, and how the manager reacted to it very nonchalantly as though she was tired of having to deal with an...
Read moreI'm really not impressed with this location. I always feel like I am a bother when I come and use their services, which generates income. Recently I had a USPS Mail Innovations package to be sent. I tried to drop it off and I was told, "oh the USPS stops by here about once every 3 months to take things so we can't take that". Seems not true since the USPS stops by there daily to deliver mail for PO Boxes. Perhaps the employees at this location should do their job and give the USPS outgoing mail. Further we also had an international package to go out. I had never sent anything internationally before. The employee working just sealed the box, and seemed bothered she had to, then applied the label I had brought. She should have asked the contents and made a note of this because the package was never sent anywhere but back to my address. I'll be using the location USPS location on University in Clive, IA in the future as they were accommodating for...
Read moreSecond review, because Shannon rocks. Today, I walked in and grabbed the handy cart, took it to my car, and loaded it with two boxes to mail, one box of shredding to be done, and one Amazon return. When I got in the store, there were five people ahead of me, and three counters being busy. Within a minute or so, I was up to the counter, and Shannon had my work all outlined. I walked out with it all done, and my packages even went to addressed she already had in her system. Win! Thank, Shannon.
Oh, my gosh! This is the second year we’ve had our annual Christmas letter printed and folded by our local UPS store. I walked in, emailed them my pdf, they downloaded it, printed a copy to check borders and colors, and then printed off 100 copies and then hand folded them.
I walked out with my letters and a smile. And a notice that document shredding was 10% off for my year end organizing.
What...
