I waited to post this review because this transaction took some time, and I wanted to be more than sure when I say what I have to say about this place. I came in to look around, and possibly trade some gold and antique jewelry, and saw a very nice preowned timepiece selection. All the big names (Rolex, A.P., Omega, Brietling, etc.) so I gravitated there and saw a watch that I’ve always wanted. I showed the gentleman behind the counter the jewelry that I’d brought in, and he made me a very fair offer, however I didn’t make any trades or deals. Later that month I decided to go back and buy the watch that I’d wanted. It was amazing! Pre owned but in impeccable condition, and very attractive. Mike the gentleman behind the counter offered the watch for an unbelievable deal, so I told him that I’d take it! In the process of wrapping up the watch, and adjusting the time and date to be accurate there appeared to be an issue with the crown. Mike told me immediately that the watch is not in proper condition to be sold, but that he was going to send it out to a specialist and see what the problem is and make it perfect, and would still hold his word to the price of the watch if I still wanted it, however was not going to hold me the transaction if I’d wanted to change my mind in the moment given the unique circumstances. I wanted the watch and Mike assured me that on his own cost he was going to have the watch fixed, as well as have the seals replaced. Not going to lie, it wasn’t a speedy process, but I’m more interested in perfection than speed at this point, and Mike understood this. He and his business partner were MORE than accommodating and even offered to allow me to wear an alternative timepiece during the duration of time that my watch would be getting addressed. And although an iced out Rolex would have been cool to wear for a bit, I really just wanted the watch I had purchased, and gratuitously declined the offer. Fast forward to almost a month later, and the watch was back in, and fixed. Every bit of parts replaced were replaced with original factory parts from Brietling, and it was polished up beautifully! Mike and the entire staff were VEEY professional, polite, welcoming and pleasant to do business with at every step, and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve even made an additional purchase of another preowned timepiece since and am more than pleased with it. I will not only be back but my jewelry purchases will always begin at Utica Jewelry and loan, and even if I don’t make a purchase, I’m 100% sure that I will feel like the most important person in the room when I walk in, as I’m sure these guys make Ever customer feel like a guest and not a profit!...

Mike, and the staff at Utica jewlery and loan are truly amazing. First things first, if you’re trying to sell or pawn something. You’re going to get the best price here! Mike and the team will always give you the best price possible, as well as explain to you exactly why he gave you that price. For example, if you bring in gold, silver, or any precious medal you’re going to get the most for what you're selling.

There are not a lot of people like mike in the jewlery and loan business. Before finding UJAL, I was constantly worried, people kept low balling me and giving me terrible pricing for my items I knew had to be more than what other places said!

In addition, from the first time i walked in I was treated like family. They made me feel comfortable, and even with my limited knowledge (which was easy for mike to pickup on) he helped me better understand the business, instead of exploiting the fact i had no clue what I was doing.

Lastly, they have the highest quality product, over 1000 pairs of shoes, the finest jewlery, (Rolex, Cuban links, pretty much everything you can think of) and custom pieces that you can come up with and they will create for you if you want.

Utica Jewelry & Loan really knocked it out of the park on our wedding and engagement rings. Ryan was a pleasure to work with and worked hard to make sure every detail was exactly what we wanted. He custom designed and made my engagement ring (a complete surprise to me) with my now husband. They worked great together to make me the ring of my dreams. After some searching, we realized a "off the rack" wedding band wasn't going to meet the criteria I wanted so he custom made my wedding band as well. He made sure the design with the engagement ring would be a perfect fit. My husband wanted a more simple band but still elegant. Ryan helped us find the perfect style and fit for my husband's wedding band as well. I've taken other jewelry to Ryan for cleaning as well and he always does a great job and gets it done in a timely fashion. My husband's family has worked with Ryan's family on jewelry for three generations and we couldn't be more pleased with their skills and quality of work. Ryan made my rings, his father made my Mother-in-law's rings, and his grandfather made my husband's grandma's ring.
