Burlington — Local services in Vacaville

You want to visit a poorly run store? This is the store for you. Our visit included completely unorganized racks and shelves, in the women's department and the home department. The toy department took it to a new level, as it looked like a hurricane blew through. This is at 11 a.m. Are we supposed to believe this disaster occurred earlier? No way. Then, the check out experience was something else. There was one one cashier and half a dozen people waiting in line (it got worse). Sloooooow. Meanwhile behind the cashier you have an employee hanging hangers on a rack. Almost the whole time we were in line. She was moving in slow motion. I am not exaggerating. You also had another employee in the check out area, and she was very fast. Walking extremely quickly putting away one item. And then walking back very quickly. And putting away one item. I don't know if it ever crossed her mind to carry more than one item at a time to put them away. But since we were in line so long, I had plenty of time to watch super slow woman and super fast girl both accomplish very little. So why 2 stars and not 1? The door greeter was extremely nice and directed us exactly where we needed to go to find what my wife was...

Customer service was terrible. I walked by a sales associate, she didn’t greet me, stared at me and gave me a dirty look. I walked to the shoe area and she followed, still staring at me but now another associate had joined her, a man. I went to the ladies clothing area, she is still staring at me,now with another associate which makes 3 people and now I’m starting to feel uncomfortable because I don’t know what the problem is. I leave that area and decide to check out and guess who is still staring at me. I think maybe I’m overreacting but as I go to put the shopping cart away, guess who is STILL staring at me. It dawns on me when I get home that they assumed I was a thief. There is no reason to watch someone’s every move unless you think they are stealing which I was not because I was raised the correct way. The honest way but I will never shop here again. This is so disrespectful and uncalled for. I didn’t have a large purse or backpack or anything else that would make them act like that. When I got home, I realized I would not support a store that acts this way so I returned what I bought and went...

I always find good bargains here; however, it does take patience and time to ferret them out. If you see something that strikes your fancy, you better get it right then and there 'cause it will be gone when you come back. Like Ross, a good deal of Burlington's customers lack respect for this retailer. The shelves are a mess with opened boxes, items from other aisles or departments, Starbucks or Dutch Brothers cups discarded on the floor and shelves, clothing items off their hangers and laying across racks or on the floor. I just don't get it. What possesses people to vandalize...
