Good afternoon, I donât usually leave reviews for grocery stores, but I just had to leave one for the Grocery Outlet here in Vacaville. We shop in a lot of grocery outlets in Sacramento,Rancho Cordova, West Sacramento. Here in Vacaville. Today on Saturday, 7th of December we were not welcomed in as usual and most grocery outlets, and by time we came to the checkout stand, we were greeted with an extremely frustrated and grumpy, older lady with white hair or gray hair. We were simply asking for something to wrap the delicate glass items we had bought we wouldâve took anything to wrap it in and she told us we donât do that. We have nothing and when I try to use a little bit of cardboard because thatâs only for wines. At the end when I asked her for 1 bag to wrap a few of the things just to keep them a little separated. I already paid my bill so obviously if you gave me a bag, I wouldnât have paid for it and she had a fit telling me that sheâll give me the bag, but it doesnât make any sense cause Iâm not paying for it. I immediately pull out cash and paid her for the $.15. And if she had a little better attitude my experience wouldnât have been so bad but it was her attitude that she had that was so horrible. Like she just hated her job. Sorry, Grocery Outlet but that employee is a fail. If I could give zero stars,...
Read moreWell, somehow, the price tag, as you leave the register, is around one third of what it should be. This is how it manages the 5 stars. And if you think there are only marginal products here you should think again. I get so many things at GO that are at upscale markets, like Horizon milk, Eureka bread, Fine aged Gouda, a great brand of Sharp cheddar, butter, great organic goods like fig bars with pomegranate.... honestly, this is a store you should always stop at first. ...and you will find excellent products but pay much, much less. The produce is not that great, but you can buy cherry tomatoes, baking potatoes, sweet onions, leafy vegetables, broccoli ...enough to get by. They have an ever-changing, much visited frozen section where there are usually at least a few of the higher end frozen pizzas, pierogies, burritoes, breakfast goods, Haagen-Das ice cream, gelato, pies, frozen chicken and fish, etc.... Do your wallet a favor and visit. It is also a much more palatable sized store, unlike the hideous Winco. One more note: the wine. It is fun to try and catch something that tastes like a 60 $70 bottle and you've paid $19 for it or maybe $6. Cody, the wine officianado, is a treasure. She has recommended some splendid...
Read moreStumbled upon this gem out of sheer curiosity expecting it to be a lower end store selling food similar to what you see in a dollar store. Wow, I was blown away for the hour I spent in there. Went in empty handed, went back for a basket and left with a cart full of $200 worth of food.
The amount of organic food they had was beyond anything I could have imagined. It was an hour of disbelief, that and the low prices. Almond milk carageenan free that would be about $4.00 at other places was somewhere in the neighborhood of .80-.90. They even had grassfed meat.
My only criticism would be the people who run the company. In my opinion, it has poor management and marketing. They lose A LOT of business by their name. They should have have had the word natural, healthy, organic, etc. in their name somewhere. The other thing is that the atmosphere could be more jovial. If you go to any Trader Joe's, their personality and upbeat attitude is unrivaled. They weren't rude, they were nice, but it was very flat. Night and day difference between the energy/vibe in the atmosphere of them and a...
