OK my review was going to be very detailed, and may be a bit lengthy, but to save you some time I want to say, the food was excellent tasting. I had never been to Buckhorn barbeque before, and when I walked in the door, I was turned off a little bit by the walk up to the counter and place your order cafe style that they offered. I also am not a big fan of overwhelming barbeque sauce, aroma so that turned me off almost immediately.. The gentleman who was taking my order was lovely. I had so many questions and he was very patient with me and he offered a lot of assistance so I want to give them props for really great staff. I ordered the tri-tip steak and I like mine well done and it was cooked perfectly. I didn’t have to return it to be re-cooked. It wasn’t dry. It was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were very good as well and I ordered the vegetables but I asked for only red peppers. When the meal came, I didn’t get only red pepper so those did have to go back. I ended up getting red peppers within a few minutes which was great and the staff handled taking the vegetables back gracefully as well they didn’t make me feel weird for mentioning that I didn’t get the vegetables that I ordered. However they were cold. The potatoes weren’t warm. And My steak wasn’t terribly warm. It was warm but it wasn’t like right off the grill warm. but the flavour of everything was excellent.
I also didn’t like that if you wanted salt and pepper or other condiments you had to walk up to an area and get packets of these items. You had to fill your own drink with a paper cup and you had to get your own takeout boxes from the side area as well. If I’m going to pay $60 for a meal I don’t wanna be doing these things I want to be taken care of, so I find a little disturbing that I am tipping at the time that I order my food at the counter and I don’t even know if I’m gonna be getting good food if I’m gonna be getting good service basically paying you or tipping you just to take my order to spend my money here here. I didn’t like the wooden bench seats ot the industrial metal chairs provided at the tables. The bench is just a wooden bench no cushion, no padding!!!! I’m paying $60 for my meal I’d like to be sitting on a comfortable seat . I also ordered a bun with my meal and instead I got a corn biscuit so that had to go back and exchanged.
Summary

Read moreMy recent experience at Buckhorn BBQ and Grill far surpassed my expectations, earning it a well-deserved five-star rating in my book. The quality of the food was exceptional. My bacon cheddar burger was cooked to absolute perfection; the bacon was crispy, the cheddar melted beautifully, and the patty was juicy and flavorful. My dining companion and riding buddy Frank, raved about his tri-tip burger, equally impressed by its preparation.
Beyond the main courses, the sides were equally delightful. The fries were crisp and golden, and the onion rings were perfectly battered and not at all greasy. The selection of soft drinks was impressive, offering a wide variety of choices to complement our meal.
But the culinary excellence wasn't the only highlight. The atmosphere at Buckhorn BBQ and Grill was incredibly inviting—comfortable, friendly, and conducive to relaxed conversation. Manny, in particular, provided outstanding customer service, adding to the overall positive experience. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcome.
In short, I wholeheartedly recommend Buckhorn BBQ and Grill. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere guarantees a memorable dining experience. You absolutely won't be...
Read moreThis was my first time and Buckhorn BBQ and I was warned that it wouldn't be great and I still chose to go.
Upon arrival you pick your table with the host, they'll give you a number and then you can order your food. There are a lot of options on the menu and it took us some time to choose. There were plenty of staff waiting to take our order. We ordered the 2 meat feast with ribs and tri tip side of Mac a cheese and sweet potato fries.
Our food came out and looked appetizing outside of the Mac an cheese. The tri tip was good, the ribs were meh, the sweet potato fries were average, and if I return I will not order than Mac and Cheese. It works for some, but not for me. Their specialty teas were on point. They do have a full bar too if you want to have a drink.
The atmosphere is family feels. Plenty of people came in parties of 4+ to have dinner. Seems like a really popular place.
Recommendation: this place is a Strong Okay. Like I would eat her again, I would recommend it with a warning, but I've had better bbq places and this isn't...
