I have been a Tumi customer since 1998. I recently purchased a case and called the store to learn my options bc my husband and I thought they had started allowing returns (only exchanges in the past) and Michelle told me "You can exchange it within 30 days w/ the receipt and in sellable condition." Ahem. I understand nobody likes returns, however, you did not disclose that I could return the case. When returning the case, I upgraded my sale to two cases, kept one and when wanting to return the other because it was a good sale price, but just too big, I was met with an attitude. Honestly, I get that there are policies, but choosing not to disclose the allowable return and the attitude are just not what any customer deserves. You can't just be nice when you're selling and button it up and be cold when someone needs to return something. For this reason, despite how awesome Antonio is, I will not give Vacaville Tumi Outlet anymore of my business. I'd rather buy online and do free returns. I hope Sarena (sp?) reads this and I welcome her to call me, because there is so much more to this scenario, which includes me exchanging the case and Michelle taking the sale for herself instead of putting Antonio's name on it....

The store manager (who's name begins with an 'N' helped me). At ten minutes AFTER closing the store, she was still helping me with enthusiasm and grace as I looked over choices I had made; offering PROFESSIONAL advice on each of my several comparisons regardless of price. The outlet store was having a limited time sale on many of its outlet prices; 25-50% off most of the merchandise and I became a motivated buyer, spending more than DOUBLE what I had intended to spend. My decisions narrowed the selection to 2 bags; a leather backpack and a shoulder bag and I saved nearly $1,000.00 and left with a determination to go back soon. Tumi undoubtedly manufactures the highest quality luggage and accessories and with highly trained sales people like (N) will always make sure that you are matched with the right product. I left the store feeling like I just had the most wonderful shopping experience of my life and to be sure, I will go back many times. And......

I've wanted to come in person to learn about the different collections so I can make an informed decision. I have felt conflicted about leaving this feedback but a recent interaction made me feel compelled to speak up. There is a lady who works in this store who is so off-putting that I literally decided I'd rather purchase Rimowa, but I recently saw the sale online and pulled the trigger on one piece, then decided that I may as well get us all some matching pieces so I bought them online and am so pleased with my choices. I don't need a ted talk to know what I like and prefer not to be judged and treated like I'm beneath the salesclerk when stepping into a brick & mortar store that likely could use my business.
