Got there at 1:17pm they weren't busy didn't get food until 2:03pm the dish was so burnt it you could smell it even the shrimp were completely burnt. But yet the waitress still brought it out. The waitress even stated to us that she mentioned it being burnt to the cook??????? They ended up taking it off the receipt.
Looked at the receipt the cheese dip was $10.95 which on the menu it says it $3.95. Even the waitress said they need to change that price on the menu. But first said oh its always been that price...so got the ticket it was for 2 drinks and a bowl of cheese $23 and some change even after the food was removed!!!!!
We feel like we were about to be taken advantage of because not only did the cheese dip come in a small bowl that wasn't even full the young man said that it was in the wrong bowl for $10.95 in the first place and we was being over charged. This was always our go to restaurant but that is going to be changing. Waitress said it was new cooks was the reason for burnt food but what was the reason for way overcharging????? I guess to try to get over on someone???? But as a waitress myself in my younger years I wouldn't of brought out burnt food to my customers thats a no no I would of showed the manger had him come over and ask what we would like to do but that didn't happen the manager at the end tried to agure with my husband about the price. Luckly I got the menu and showed him the price and told him you can't charge something thats not stated. Very disappointing. Watch your ticket for inaccurate pricing. Our ticket was changed to two drinks and 1 cheese dip $10 when we left.
Watch from reading reviews this seems like a thing they do!!! Always get the menu and compare prices when you get...
Read moreI don't usually make to many "bad review post" but here I am.
Okay first off, me and my husband usually eat at the other El Toreo ( I may have a review about them) I've never had any issues with food or service.
This one was different. Everything was fine. They would refill the drinks as normal. However at the end things got a little wonky. We had to waited for to-go plates as we couldn't find the waiter or they were busy with another table (understandable). We asked for a to-go drink and we never got that (okay). When paying there was an issue there when our guest paid our larger group bill instead of his smaller individual bill. The issue was resolved but it's still a hassle to fo through.
When we left I told my husband we'll never eat here again.
But wait there's more...
So again we had our left overs. As my husband is prepping to eat his.... HE FINDS A GLOVE IN HIS FOOD. I kid you not. A whole glove. I went ahead an threw my food out because the thought turned my stomach.
So that just furthers my opinion on this El Toro. We will take a break for a while, but when we do return we'll eat at...
Read moreI just visited this restaurant with my brother, son, and niece. Immediately, the server was rude and short with us. The salsa was sour and my niece ended up in the bathroom sick. When I told the server I needed to pay so we could leave, he just grabbed the card out of my hand, with no receipt, and walked off. Overall, the service ruined this experience. I can't say anything for the other food because we didn't get that far after getting sick from the salsa. Which I also tasted and had to spit out. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, but overall bad experience. As I was leaving I also saw the same server give a gentleman walking in the same attitude. He just pointed and rudley told him "sit anywhere but a booth" and the guy turned and looked at me confused. All I had to say to him was good luck. Edit: I just watched the gentleman walk out of the restaurant while I was writing...
