Amazing little shop that I HIGHLY encourage you to support, especially if you want to try something new. Their grocery selection is small, but not like anything else you can find in Valdosta.

But the kitchen is where it's at. I am not very knowledgeable about Jamaican food, but I can confirm that I'm gonna start eating it more. This was the first time I've tried a Jamaican beef pattern, and this shop definitely set the bar high (get it spicy; you'll thank me later). Also got a small curry chicken and rice plate (and I use the term "small" liberally, here... See below how sizeable a small order is). Delicious, tender, flavorful, and filling. Can't wait to try different dishes.

And, not for nothing, but good gravy, do they understand cornbread... Not just how to make it delicious, but also what an acceptable serving of delicious cornbread is (seriously, see below).

If you want to support a local, Black-owned business, experience something unique yet comforting, and eat an insane amount of cornbread (no, seriously... You will eat that insane amount of cornbread and you will like it, and I mean that in the absolute best sense), then I daresay you could do WAY worse than this awesome...

This is the only Caribbean food worth grabbing in a 40 mile radius. Believe me I know.😌… Oxtails, rice & peas, Mac & cheese, cabbage, coco bread, & of course the patties are always my go to. The curry, or anything else I’ve ever tried here hasn’t failed me yet either. I’ve been a customer with this restaurant at least 10 years. The restaurant closed or moved out of the area for a couple of years after opening sometime in the 2000’s, but they came back to open in the same plaza & I’ve never been so grateful.😁Terrific staff, great food, island vibes....

Oooooh my god the food is delicious!! I knew where this restaurant was, but never made the trip until today, to actually try it. I’ve been to the Dominican Republic about 4-5 times and really just could taste vacation in every bite! It was so nice to have something different and fresh locally.
