Racist saleswomen work here. They always follow me and my mom around from the moment either of us walk in. We've never stolen or done anything sketchy. They always completely ignore my mom in the perfume department and only talk to the Caucasian customers. They follow me and my mom around the whole store from the moment we walk in to the moment we leave. I have never noticed this behavior towards Caucasian customers. I tried to it ignore it and brush it off for the longest time, but today, the old Caucasian saleswoman literally caged me in the fitting room area. I went into the fitting room to try on business clothes for my job. When I walked out of the fitting room stall and was putting the clothes that didn't fit me on the rack in the fitting room aisle (where you put clothes that you don't want), I noticed the old Caucasian saleswoman pulled the fence/gate closed on the entrance of the fitting room area so that I could not leave. She glared at me the whole time and wouldn't open the gate/fence until I put all the clothes back on the rack, even though that's literally what I was already doing. Felt like unlawful detainment. I'm a Macy's member and spend hundreds of dollars here. I'm not a thief or some misbehaved, sketchy individual for them to follow me around the store and cage me in the fitting room area like an animal. I will never...
Read moreFor starters, I was double charged for a coat at Vancouver Macy's. I made repeated calls to customer service to get the credit for the double charge to my account, this was a month ago! Now this is where customer service comes in, or should I say lack of "customer service"!
The coat was the wrong size. So thinking, like most retailer's I could just exchange it.......Wrong!
Macy's in Kennewick WA was less than helpful with my simple exchange! I was treated like I stole the coat. When I explained that "Macy's Customer care had assured me, Macy's in Kennewick could just have one of their other stores send me the right size.......Wrong again!
This was the only good thing about having the charge on my "Macy's" credit card, making a paper trail of my purchase, I was able to prove that I was not some vagrant from off the street.
Kennewick Macy's sent me on my way, giving me a song and dance about their "Back Stage" line had no SKU numbers for them to identify their merchandise.........Reallly?
How, in this day and age of technology, is this even possible? The Manager of the department came over and spent some time staring at the monitor and gave me this helpful information. Drive 3 hours, back to Vancouver "Macy's" to make my simple exchange! This type of customer service has reminded me why I stopped Shopping at Macy's so...
Read moreHorrible uninformed customer service, not interested in helping customers, sales associate pointed to where things I'm looking for "MIGHT" be across the store, when asked where certain sized clothing is located they said it was downstairs but when I asked a manager they said it isn't even sold at this store.
No air conditioning- everyone is visibly sweating. It's hot in Macy's every time I shop there. Maybe that's why sales associates aren't interested in helping , they're probably over heated too. The same day I was there I went to Old Navy and it was nice and cool in there.
Nobody at all was in the lingerie department, bras overloaded all over the place in dressing rooms. Women's dressing room floor filthy with debris like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks.
Other customers wandering around looking for sales associates to ring them up, nobody upstairs were at registers except one. Other customers also irritated with the store.
Seems they just don't have enough staff on the schedule to handle needs of the store and customers. I like the clothes here, I hope these issues get resolved. It didn't used to...
