Wow I was hopeful this place was not going to let me down and be a super delicious place to get healthy and tastey Thai food. My first visit I got Pad Thai With veggies, papaya salad and fresh tofu rolls. Every thing was good. The only compliant I have is they don't put good veggies in the pad Thai it was just a few broccoli and some carrots and they are over cooked; which makes eating the pad Thai not very enjoyable because it's just mouthful after mouthful of starchy noodles, oil, lots of salt and what ever spices they use. The papaya salad was good and they spiced it some. also the portion was correct. The tofu salad rolls were ok I mean I enjoyed eating them mostly because I was hungry. The thing is the cost $7.50 and all that's in them is two small slices of tofu and a little bit of carrot and a huge amount of lettuce. Where's the basil, mint, cabbage, bean sprouts or perhaps Daikon. My second visit I got red curry with veggies and my third visit I got green curry with veggies.hmm again they miss the mark by using the cheapest vegetables they can which is broccoli, carrots a few green beans and eggplant and all of the veggies are cut or sliced up small; which causes them to become soggy and over cooked in the hot curry broth. They spiced the curry a little. I had asked for hot and it was more of a mild. I also ordered veggies lovers with tofu. I hate to say this but here again it was just the least expensive veggies on hand which is the customary broccoli , carrots green beans and tofu. But again all the veggies were cut small and all ended up being overcooked and soggy; with the sauce and oil the cook them in. So when I got home the sauce had overwhelmed every thing and it was too salty and the veggies all overcooked and wet too enjoy so I did eat some just because I was hungry but it was way to salty to continue eating.

I will give Thai Noodle Bar another try in the future; but for now I think I'm going to continue searching for healthy delicious Thai food at new places. Oh important to add the staff here were all pleasant...

The place is close to the Vancouver Mall and you can feel the deadly sucking like a black hole in a starry sky. I try and pretend it is not there like walking down a dark street and trying to pretend Bo Radley ain’t watching from the porch. So I make it inside, unscathed, but cold and plunk my ugly old self down at a table. Better have a cup of tea so I can wrap my beat up arthritic hands around a cup of something hot. Whoa! They don’t have a cup of nothin less than $4.50! I been to the Asian market, I know what that stuff costs! Pretty good profit margin there. I order Baa Mee Moo Dang soup (no jokes about the name) and when it arrives it is a vision of steamy wonder. Gives me goose bumps just looking at it! Always love that first sip, the anticipation! The held breath! The tentative sniff followed by a muted exploratory slurp… sweet, sweeter than I expected. A little bland, not terribly savory, kind of shallow… no real umami. I dip my chopsticks in and try to lift out a portion of noodles, and it’s one big tangled mess. Impossible to get a reasonable size portion. Half the bowl wants to come up with every grab. It’s strange, I’ve never had noodles act like this. It’s a little like tangles in a horse’s mane. That by itself would not be a deal breaker, but the broth seems to get more innocuous with ever slurp. It would be nice to have some condiments to spice things up, but I see nary a bottle, bowl or shaker as far as the eye can see. It wasn’t terrible, but it was disappointing. On another note altogether, the new Voodoo Donut place is opening a few doors down and the already tight parking situation will turn into a Christmas plane backup at O’Hare International Airport, during a pandemic. The good? The waitress was great. The atmosphere was nice, even with the Vancouver Mall looming in the distance like an ugly sister to the Emerald City. Would I eat there again? If I had a flat tire or a business meeting, or I got lost and ended up at the Mall, but there are better places around. The waitress added the extra star, for being nice...

After my last experience several weeks ago, I will not be going back. I don't like to leave these reviews so I've taken several weeks before leaving one. The food is good, however, please be aware that they do close down earlier than their posted hours. I have ordered from here a few times previously and the experiance was good. However, the most recent one was not. I placed my order 40 minutes before closing and received an email notification and a text with an arrival time of well before they were to close. Upon arrival, I discovered that my entire order had been canceled because they were out of one of my items. I was not notified of this cancelation by email, phone call, text, nothing. The individual at the counter who informed me they canceled it, was very dismissive about it, too, stating, "Oh, well. Sorry.", when I asked why I had not been contacted. Since I had already paid for it online there was a bank hold placed on my card that took over a week to be released. I understand that towards the end of the evening, places run out of stuff, that's not an issue. I was just very disappointed in how this was...

We ordered our usual favorites, Yakisoba and Pad Kee Mao. The noodles of Yakisoba still need to be cooked a little longer to soften. It's a bit bland. I love my veggies undercooked and crispy, but not undercooked and hard. Food presentation is very good just like the Pad Kee Mao. But this one was cooked just right from noodles to veggies. Taste wise, it was really good too. I'm just disappointed that they look a lot on the plate, but actually it's just a small portion. They served more on our first 2 visits. The lady on the counter is not too friendly, as if she just forced herself to work there. On the other hand, it's a clean small Asian restaurant. Not too many seats inside, but there are some seats outside. Perfect for this warmer weather. There's not enough parking, but we like to park at the Macy's parking spot. So, it's not really an issue.

We came here for lunch. We had to wait quite sometime for someone to come take out order. There were only 2-3 other tables. The waitress finally came to take our order——-she asked if we were ready, then literally walked away and took another tables order. That was disappointing. She didn’t even say-excuse me, I’ll be with you in a moment. She literally walked away from our table without a word. After a few more minutes someone else came to take our order. We got phad Thai, phad kee mao, basil fried rice and ba mee noodles. The food was good. The only thing that was not good was the ba mee noodles. The noodles were too soggy, the wontons were not homemade, the bbq pork was meh. The broth was not tasty. They also serve beer and wine.
