Burlington ( coat) factory was never my thing , I lived in Pinellas County and it was a trashy store carrying ghetto named brand clothes and sneakers , but man oh man , If you needed a ski coat or winter clothes for travel this was the place .
Guess they are just called “ Burlington “ now . Still carry a lot of that basketball FUBU clothing , it’s not a diverse brand And I’m not prejudice by any means , but Venice is a retirement, beach area , the buyers don’t take that into consideration when merchandising this location for women’s and men’s wear . I was an area manager for some of the largest women’s retailers in the 80s and 90s and it’s always been an odd store
But I probably won’t shop in here again because today wasn’t the first time I didn’t care for the atmosphere. I was standing in line ( the only customer ) waiting while a team lead , supervisor or manager ( whatever she is ) I had to get her name ( Marie or Maria )
She was standing on the outside of the counter talking in a condescending manner to her employee .
I literally heard the whole conversation because she was talking loud about the condition of the area near the registers and if anyone told her she needs to clean up after her shift because it looked bad . I finally interrupted her as she was fiddling with her hair “ told her how about she let her staff take care of the customers and coach her in a more professional manner out of the ears length of customers that are waiting to be run up I could tell the cashier wanted to do the right thing and ring me up but probably couldn’t get a word in to interrupt her.
I found the lady at the register that ran my merchandise up to be very professional and friendly and I hope she finds a job where the management talk to her professionally and coach her in private setting
Wish I would have...

I understood where the manager was coming from not wanting to issue a refund due to how distraught they looked but at the same time I spent $30 on something that was of poor quality. I very rarely ever return items. I was highly upset with the situation I was placed in. When I purchased the shoes there was a security tag and everything attached and they looked brand new. I asked if the gentleman who cashed me out was present in hopes he would have remembered me but unfortunately he was not on shift. I was given no resolution or meet in the middle. I was stuck paying money on an item that just fell apart. All I can say is over look anything you purchase from here because you never know what you're going to get once you walk...
Read moreafter waiting for months for Burlington to open, I was very disappointed in it. First of all, you can't take the carts out of the store. We purchased several things and had to lug them out of the store. We are 83 years old and expect better service than this/ We also bought a pair of sunglasses with the security tag on them and the tag was not removed by the clerk. When we tried to get it off, it ruined the glasses with a large scratch on the lens. I sincerely hope other people had a better experience. We weren't...
