I need to write this review because of the people that run this store are some of the most amazing people I have ever gotten to know. My ability to write and read the owners played a huge part in when I was just a young boy. My grandmother Sally took me here to be tutored. I learned a love for literature that I still hold very close to my heart this day. Thank you for helping me so much and I am glad that you already have such kind and wonderful reviews on google when I came to write this. It's a fun bookstore with a fantastic selection of classic books and rare prints the owners hunt all over to collect and put on display for purchase. Read moreUnfortunately we did not have a tremendous amount of time to browse there so I did not stockpile anything to buy, but the collection of books here is incredible! There is such a wide range of books to choose from there, from classic literature, bird-watching, art, and even cookbooks for various styles of cuisine; this place seems to have it all. All of the books there are in really good condition so the average $6 - $12 or so for an average sized book is very reasonable! The owner (or at least the man working the floor) was very friendly and helpful to customers. Next time I am in Ventura I will stop by here...

Found a great book on jazz piano that hasn't seemed easy to find online. We got the impression from our visit that the reason for this store is more a love of books than a business....
