I recently came upon an unconscious iguana while on my walk during the heavy rains. I took him in, and after checking him out I decided I was in no shape or form qualified to be caring for him considering I’ve got no experience with reptiles at all.

I spent a few hours looking for reptile sanctuaries; all of which unfortunately were closed or overpopulated with reptiles. I was very worried this iguana was on his deathbed- but luckily my sister posted asking for help online, and a dude from charismatic creatures reached out saying he’d take him in!

Considering it was on such short notice, they weren’t exactly preparing to take in a potentially very ill iguana, and they had no idea what to really expect; I found it all very kind of them. I do appreciate them taking him in- because I know I never would’ve been able to help him out myself. Plus the stores inside seemed pretty put together and nice too! I’d give 10/5 if I could :]

I was thrilled to see a small business for reptiles in our town. There had been another one years back, but it sadly closed. I have been avoiding chain pet stores since I rescue, and this shop is perfect. We have had many different reptiles over the years. The owner is very knowledgeable and takes great care of all the creatures in the shop. I love the bio-active enclosure set ups he has, and his connections with breeders, good businesses, and expos. Please support small businesses.

I only wish this place wasn't so hidden. The only reason I noticed it, after the years it has been opened, is because I happened to be walking up the street after sightseeing.

Fyi, anyone (like a reviewer) recommending a Petsmart, which is a known chain store with inhumane mill breeding and husbandry, is a HUGE red flag. Small shops over a chain store for reptiles and other...

I’m the 100th review! That’s pretty sweet. Candice and Jose are the nicest people! They took the time with me to make sure I was completely informed and certain about which reptile friend I was going to take home. They were patient with me and allowed me to take the time I needed to decide. Their customer service is a lost art in this world, and made my day that much better. I feel so happy and greateful to have bought my new baby from their shop, they deserve the business and I wish them the absolute best!
