Lucky Sushi & Ramen — Restaurant in Ventura

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting Ventura and stumbled upon an incredible sushi restaurant that I think you all would love. The food and service at this establishment were top-notch, making it a must-visit spot for any sushi lover.

Was in the Ventura area for the Memorial Day holiday weekend with family, the weather had been muggy all day and was just in the mood for ramen. VERY fortunately I remembered seeing this place in the same shopping center as Starbucks and thought I would give it a try. SO glad I did!

Stepped in and was greeted by the hostess who immediately sat me at a table. Very friendly and happily walked me through the sushi and ramen menu. I decided on a simple Miso Ramen and waited for my order.

While waiting I looked around and just took in the room. Now when I say this is a “dive” I mean that in the best way. If I had not randomly seen it getting coffee one morning I would have never knew it existed. But that’s the charm, it’s a locals spot that slowly filled with guests who all were getting their “usuals” and enjoying every bite.

I was here a week ago and ordered the miso ramen and liked it and came back tonight to order the same. When the bowl arrived, it clearly looked and smelled like the tonkotsu ramen with heavy garlic smell. I immediately let the server know that. She replied that it was the miso ramen and the recipe changed and kept arguing that it was miso ramen she brought me.

I was sitting at the table closest to the door. The servers told multiple waiting customers that it will take them 10 minutes to clear tables. Multiple people decided to leave although there were unoccupied tables except they needed to be cleared.
