They certainly replace broken or cracked glass on cell phones and when the job is complete the device is usable. The problem with this establishment is their lack of professionalism. They're very shady. I didn't feel like this was a secure business to give my money to. They don't give you any information. they had no literature in regards to how their business goes about replacing your device's glass, as a matter of fact, they had no literature at all. The replacement glass they use is of poor quality. The glass they use constantly smudges and attracts dust and oil whereas the glass used by the manufacturers' glass has a layer of coating to prevent such experiences. Don't expect your device to be back to manufacturer's standards. The job itself was pretty shotty. Light bleeds through the touch-key lights at the bottom of the device and projects out onto the screen. They were far too secretive and almost weary about giving too much information on the process. They don't even mention that they aren't liable for any damages incurred during the refurbishing process. Instead, they tell you to sign a receipt to ensure pickup but on that receipt is the fine print for no liability. In all, they do a fairly decent job even in consideration of the steep price tag of $160. If the personnel at the establishment were more open about how they go about fixing the device, this review would have seen at...
Read moreThis place deserves zero stars. Not only do they not return phone calls after recognizing giving you a malfunctioning phone screen but they deny giving you a full refund with claim details. The owner is a very unpleasant person who yells at you over the phone and ignores everything you say. If you have an iPhone go straight to the Apple Store. I’m surprised they are still in business. My issue goes back to January 13. If you expect to receive your money back good luck. And no I won’t return again for them “to fix my phone” when they clearly couldn’t do it the first time. Please don’t trust this place with your personal phone or your money.
Actually, the phone was an issue 3 days after it was fixed. I called the store: also again there’s no need for your slander or to spread misinformation on a business account. You are ignorant by stating on your personal business page online that I am homeless which it has been almost a full month since getting out of homelessness after 6 months. I said I was living at my parents a full hour away. I deserve my money back. But since you are slandering me and blaming my situation on drug use... I would think twice about what you post from a business standpoint. What you have said is discriminatory, misleading and...
Read moreI have a Samsung Galaxy S8 and I took the cover off briefly and managed to smash the screen. It was badly damaged but still worked. A couple of days later the screen went white. I took it to UbreakIFix in Vernon Hills (sorry to call them out) and the woman at the desk told me it was too badly damaged to fix as it was LED damage so she wasn't even going to call the manager to come take a look. I was gutted but I took my phone to CPR phone repair and the man at the desk told me of course it could be fixed. I just want to mention the awesome customer service I experienced at CPR, both guys I talked to were very friendly and I felt like my phone was in VERY safe hands. They gave me all the details I needed and then asked me if I wanted to proceed with the repair. It was a little over $300 so costly but I would have done anything to have my phone fixed. The repair was very quick and I now have a perfectly working phone with absolutely no cracks. Cannot thank these guys enough, you are absolutely GENIUS!! (Also I waited a few days to write this review to make sure my phone continued to work, and it is still working perfectly it feels like brand new)...
