Gene Feldman, the owner of Fast-Fix at the Hawthorn Mall location is amazing! I recently bought a Swarovski necklace for my daughter and within a week the chain broke. I came back hoping that they would be able to repair it but, the salesperson explained to me that only the crystals are covered by the warranty. She also said that to send it out it would cost $50 but, they’re not able to do that since it’s a retired necklace purchased at the outlet. I then took it to Fast-Fix, where Gene was able to fix it for me in no time at all, at a super reasonable price. I would highly recommend this place especially when you don’t want to deal with the waiting of having your jewelry sent out for repairs. Gene can fix it while you wait and you can’t beat the price. Totally worth it! He’s professionalism and experience has won...
Read moreAfter 20 years of outstanding service, I took my father's ring to have a diamond put back in the ring. Jeweler decided to buff out the design out of the ring. A 50 year old ring was destroyed. Called to ask why and was told I would have to bring it in to review. Visited today, and the jeweler never apologized for removing the design that was made 50 years ago. Instead, he said some of the design wasn't there admitting he saw it before removing it. He said he didn't have a way to put the design back as it was factory done. Again, he never apologized or stated he removed the ring design. After 20 years, we will never return. A good business admits their mistakes and apologizes for their mistakes. So if you have sentimental jewelry,...
Read moreI had the misfortune to buy my watch strap here. Big mistake. After wearing it a couple of months only, the strap started breaking at the buckle. Mind you, I bought a genuine leather strap. I've had genuine leather before and I know they last for years. It is not even a matter of price but a matter of principle. So I brought my broken strap back hoping to have it replaced or refunded. However, all I got was smug laugher from the staff who told me that I should buy a new strap and that was a normal wear of a "genuine leather" strap and that they are not responsible as they "only sell them and do not manufacture the straps." Please, save your money and have your watch serviced at another place with...
