This is by far the best jewelry store hands down ! To start off I was recommended this place by my girlfriend’s mother, she told me she had been going here and really liked chuck ! When I first walked in i was immediately greeted with a warm welcome and a well kept organized store ! My first purchase was a promise ring for my girlfriend (I had previously purchased one online that turned out to be not good quality from some other company) Chuck took his time to sit down with us and carefully went over all our options, we decided on a ring but wanted a different type of stone, he didn’t even hesitate to make that happen for us, and not even 2 weeks later the ring was ready !! Needless to say she was extremely happy with it!

My next purchase was a custom necklace, I brought in a ring that my grandfather wore as a baby and 2 earrings with diamonds from my grandmother I told Chuck I wanted a cross made with them incorporated in the design. after a few conversations about what would look good he came up with exactly what I was looking for. After just a couple weeks between the having a custom cross casted and having the ring and the diamonds added it was finished!!! When I showed up to pick it up Chuck was extremely excited to show me! The cross was absolutely beautiful and I could not have even imagined it would be this perfect ! It almost brought me to tears being able to finally see new life brought to my extremely sentimental jewelry!!! I will have this necklace for life knowing it carries the memory of my grandparents with it! And I hope to pass it on to my children some day!

Amazing people and work! My mother had taken the main stone out of a 1930s (I think) ring, and I wanted them put back together. The original setting had some significant problems, but the folks at Dunbar Jewelers were able to match the original details and get it all back spectacularly! I also received a very welcome education and suggestions about care and insurance. I will bring it back for appraisal and insurance and have total peace of mind that the ring is solid, protected, and beautiful! Thanks all!! Edit to add: I just came back from picking up my ring - the appraisal was thorough and fully explained to me. The staff helped me sign up for insurance right there on the spot - which was something I very much wanted. As I waited my turn (which took no time at all, even though it seemed bustling today), I watched how each person working interacted with other customers - from the couples picking up jewelry, to the woman purchasing something new, to the mother and daughter casually discussing various engagement rings that might be in a young couple’s budget, to couples who maybe were just trying to get some ideas, everyone there was treated with the same courtesy, enthusiasm, and hospitality. I imagine each person left feeling like they had been the most valued customer present. I had some questions about a pin I had also left for appraisal - how to convert it to a pendant possibly, or different uses. Chuck took the time to explain to me the risks vs rewards of doing so, even bringing out a chain to test one theory and see how it would work.

To say this jeweler goes above and beyond is an understatement. We first came into Dunbar after we found out that my engaement ring that had been bought elsewhere had a loose stone and we needed an appraisal (Only 2 weeks after receiving it). The treatment we received was 10x that I have had at any other jeweler (including where my engagement ring originally came from). I thought that since Dunbar hadn't sold my ring, we may be brushed off or just be pushed to buy new items, but I was certianly wrong. Chuck we now feel is a kind friend as much as a jeweler and gemologist, and he even makes me want to get into the jewelery business! After blowing us away with his service, we have now entrusted Dunbar as our jeweler of choice. In the 6 months we have been working with Dunbar I have had 2 chains either traded in or length fixed so that now I actually wear them, a ring from my grandmother wholey redesigned that we are working on, 2 peices made from gemstones I had for some of my bridal party and 2 other peices found for my other party members. They also made two cutom wedding rings for us. My fiance loves his and it is VERY attractive for a mens ring, but Chuck outdid himself with mine. I had always dreamed of having yellow diamonds in my wedding set but frankly I thought they were out of our price range. Chuck found the perfect wedding ring to compliment my custome engagement ring (picture attached) and made sure to incorporate the fancy yellow diamonds and even came in just under budget.
