Verona Ice Arena — Local services in Verona

We live in Stoughton and registered our little kids for summer hockey in Verona. Terrible. Many of the children were in orange Verona jerseys, and those were the only ones who get any attention from the coaches. Anybody else was made to feel like an outsider. Don’t bother if you don’t live in Verona. It’s not that they care about hockey, they only care about their own players. One of our kids wanted to quit afterwards. I don’t think the coaches even learned her name. None of the coaches talked to my husband and I about either of our kids. Not once. Worse, they did not mix up teams and players at all, it was all orange Verona kids against everybody else. While I understand why that is a strategic advantage for them, it is disingenuous to take money under the guise of coaching when that is not...

This is pretty unique place; a hockey Hotbed of sorts. There is a very well maintained arena with two ice sheets, with one that was recently completed in January 2024. One Olympic size and one (new)NHL size. Complete with dual spacious mezzanines, seating for probably around 1000+ per rink, bleacher heaters, ample parking, decent size locker rooms w an additional female only locker room. The Mezzanine level bars are a top notch touch when you want to relax. Lots of community sessions for Open Skate, Senior Skate and Learn to Skate programs for ages 2 to 102. Plus an excellent full service PRO SHOP that sells everything hockey you’d need. And it’s all conveniently located right in the center of town. Great space...

Verona Ice Arena is a beautiful facility that now boasts TWO full sized NHL rinks! The newly built Edgewood Crusaders rink is spotless and a wonderful place to watch or play a hockey game! Locker room facilities are modern and clean! Unfortunately, facility staff wear “plain Clothes” such as backwards baseball caps, dirty jeans and grungy black jackets.
