Congratulations, you made AT&T techs look like geniuses. Stopping in was a huge waste of time. Went in for calls continuously dropping on my wife's phone when at home after she upgraded to the S22. Lived in the same location for the last 10 years and never had this problem...the only thing that changed was having a 5G enabled phone. Went in hoping 5G could be disabled so she could make/receive calls again. Store rep had "never heard of this before"... said 5G cannot be turned off and that cannot be what's causing the issue (despite my trying to explain to him I went through something very similar with my AT&T phone -- the difference being they knew exactly what to do).
We got home and found a method for turning 5G off after googling for 30 seconds (my bad for not doing that first). Phone now works flawlessly at home. Same search confirmed that this issue is indeed NOT unique and is a major drawback to 5G (as it cannot penetrate buildings as well as 4G can). While at the store, the US Cellular employee insisted on resetting her network connections before I could tell him that wasn't going to do anything to fix the problem. Read moreI could not be more disappointed by my experience at this U.S. Cellular. We wanted to add a new line to our plan (bring a family member over from another provider) and buy a new phone. They added the line and ordered the new phone, which we paid for that day. Eight days, several unanswered phone call attempts, and five visits later, we have finally talked with an employee who knows what he’s talking about. He informed us that U.S. Cellular cannot service the new line and in fact FCC regulations forbid it. Aside from the idiocy of selling us a phone that they legally cannot service, I regret the amount of time I have wasted at this store in the last week. If you must use this U.S. Cellular location, do not expect to get an answer when you call, do not expect to be greeted and given an approximate wait time (or even acknowledged) when you walk in the door, and do not expect to talk with an employee who is knowledgeable about the services they provide. Our experience has been so negative here that we are now likely to switch providers altogether....
Read moreCame in to get a new charger, one employee helping a customer deciding on a new phone. While waiting two more customers walked in. We were all looking around and the last guy to walk in started to leave. The employee asked him if there was something he needed and then started helping him along with the first couple. Meanwhile me, my son and the other guy are still waiting. Rude of last guy in to bump in front of two people and bad customer service to ignore two customers who have been waiting to help guy leaving. I guess way to be helped is threaten to walk out. I guess not cause we just left
After seeing this post the employee called to apologize with explanation and we talked about why we had come in. My issue was more than completely taken care of with great customer service. Sean went above and beyond to help us with our problem....
