I called about 1 month before the day of my son's 4th birthday party. I spoke to a guy who was suppose to be the manager who didn't speak English really well but we could understand one another.. the day of my son's party NOTHING that the guy I spoke to was reserved.. the lady at the counter said well your name is on this sticky note but we don't reserve lanes... and when I asked about the party room she goes on to say well I don't know who you spoke to but we don't have a party room anymore but you can have those tables... I was very livid! Imagine buy 200 bucks worth of birthday decor you can't use now thinking you could. I asked her when were my lanes gonna be available and she said 15 mins.. I go back in 20 mins to ask about the lanes to find out she gave them away.. she says to me well all of your party wasn't here... I said to her and how do you know when you didn't ask.. she said she went by the sticky note.. I told her had she asked instead of giving my lanes away I would have told you I had a few cancelations.. what really put the icing on the cake is 5 lanes were broken and it was gonna take about 45 mins to get another lane.. in the end she did try to accommodate us by giving a few free bowling passes but with all the unorganization and miscommunication I had a horrible experience and we definitely won't be back.. if you are wanting to have a party there my...
Read moreI have gone to Fun Lanes about 6 times over the last two months with a group of my friends. We always go on Wednesdays when it's $2 games and shoes, and I'm glad that's all we spend. I have personally never completed a single game without having to correct the score or reset the pins (the pinsetters are constantly broken). I usually just correct my score, reset the pins, and play on, but this last outing really ticked me off. My group started out assigned to the two far-left lanes, but we ended up being moved when both of our lanes started malfunctioning within the first 3 frames. The next set of lanes we were assigned to seemed to work fine for one lane, but the lane I was on was constantly malfunctioning. I believe we spent more time resetting pins and waiting for the pin setter to finish glitching than actually bowling. During our third game, the whole lane froze up, and the one person who ever seems to be working the desk's only solution was to move us yet again. We just opted to wait it out and play on since we were 5 frames from finishing. I give it 2 stars only because the price is reasonable. My real opinion is that this place would close down if it weren't the only thing to do with a group on a Wednesday night...
Read moreWhen this bowling alley first opened, I gave it great reviews. Haven't been in a few years so we decided to take our grandson today. I wish I had believed the bad reviews I read. Because they are all 100% true. We bowled only 7 frames of our game. And when I say the lane malfunctioned every single frame, I mean EVERY SINGLE FRAME. I would take one turn knock down pins and it would reset the entire thing and go to the next player. Pins were laying halfway up the lane. You name it and it happened. Finally, I told the attendant it needed resetting again and she said someone was back there working on it. We waited TWELVE minutes while somebody did something with no update, no apology, no info nothing!! We just said forget and gave up. The girl at the counter knew we did not get to finish but offered no apology whatsoever. We won't be going back. It costs too much not to...
