Be careful with this place. I purchased wheels/tires and a lift kit from Ultimate about a year ago (around 4k a lot for me). At first everything was fine....i thought. I originally worked with Levi and Rene the owner, it was a multiple day event since the rims ordered were not actually sent. So they lifted my truck and i went back a few days later to get the wheels and tires. Like i said, out the gate looked great very happy. But then the troubles started. I have now been back 6 times in the last year and it still isnt fixed. After the first day the front end was clicking and i had to go back and have it reseated. They said the leving kit wasnt seated properly and was an easy fix. So i get my truck back and all is well. I start driving it a few days and notice that the tires are rubbing really bad. I specifially worked with Levi and Leon to pick out wheels and tires that would not rub and also would not need to cut parts out of my truck to fit. So i take it back and they heated up some plastic peice and screwed it in tighter to give more clearence, said it should be fine. It has never been fine. Any time i turn at more than about 20mph (freeway onramps) it grabs really bad and you almost crash. About 3 weeks after the last visit my front brakes go out while im driving to work at 5am (very scary), I get the truck home to find out the metal brake line broke because they didnt tighten it back properly when they put my lift back together. So I took some photos and texted them to Levi and he said they would order the part and i could replace it myself since the truck wasnt drivable. After 3 phone calls and almost a week i finally called my local Toyota dealership to order the part and the guy on the phone joked that this is the 2nd part order that day and that was odd. I asked if the order was for Ultimate and he said yes. So they didnt order the part until my 3rd call and a week passing. I ended up buying the part myself from Toyota. About 6mo goes by and no issues, but then my truck started squeeking really bad every bump you hit. I take it back and am told i need to bring the truck back with my receipt. Like they dont remeber my truck and all the issues it had there. So i finally dig up the recipt and take it in and after 2hrs they tell me one of the rear shocks is bad and they need to order it from ProComp and it will be a few days. I explain i was not happy as this was my fifth trip in and my truck has never been right and they are making it difficult to just it fixed. They looked at the rubbing again and said no worries we can heat up this plastic part and it will be fine. We will fix that when you come back for the shock. I thought, cool 6 trips and a year later it will finally be right. So i go back lsay week first appt at 9am and waste 2.5 hours for them to replace the shock and then tell me they cant heat up the plastic and once my tires wear down it will stop (not a really good answer or solution). I am like forget it at least the squeaking will be gone. I dont even pull out of the driveway and hear it squeaking still. I cant believe this, I immediately go back in tell Leon that it isnt fixed. I asked if they even test drove it and he tells me they jumped on the back bumper and it didnt squeak. So we start shaking my truck and find out the squeaking is coming from the front right wheel area. And he tells me they need to take it back in and take it apart and grease it maybe. I am not happy, and cannot waste anymore time. They obviously didnt go through my truck the first time. The tech saw a leaking shock and heard a squeak and assumed that was all. I cannot go back to number 7......its just not worth it. At this point i just want others to be mindful. I have gone here for years and taken 4 different cars to them for tires and tint. I’m only giving one star so it will post…Originally I went to Ultimate Tint and Wheel to get the windows tinted on my pick up.
Turned out that the shop was a one-stop shop. The owner Rene, an over-achiever, sold me on a 700w sound system, with power that went right through the roof! I couldn’t say no to that sound system, told him to install it. I also ordered a couple of decals for truck bedside.
I paid him for the tint, the sound system and the decals,…. paid in full. They had to keep the truck over night because they couldn’t finish it in one day. The following day the sound system he installed sounded like a portable radio, he told me they sent him the wrong sub woofer box, and to bring the truck back in a couple of days, and he would replace it.
I went back in a couple of days and the decals were not in yet, so he told me he would finish the sound system and install the decals on that Saturday. Talk about frustration, Saturday I took the truck in at 10:30am, they had the truck till 6pm. The sound system was just a slight improvement, at best. It was still powerless, not to mention the shoddy workmanship, the sub woofer box not only sticks out better then an inch the entire length of the back seat, but the speakers are directly under the seat compromising the sound when seat is in use. I used to have an 8-inch bazooka that sounded better and more powerful then the equipment he installed, and it cost me only $250.
Rene knew that if he disclosed that the 700 w system on display would not sound like the display model in my truck, I wouldn’t have bought it. Instead, he installed this inferior sound and tried to explain his way out of it. I paid over a grand for a tint job, a couple of decals, and an inferior sound system. Never going back again, and neither is anybody I know. Guaranteed.
As if that wasn’t enough, Rene forgot to put speakers on my front doors. I called the shop on Friday June 5, they told me he was not in and they would give him the message. Read moreI had my other vehicle done at their other location years ago so I contacted them recently to tint my tesla as they stated the do teslas all the time. I was initially going to another place but it was further out so i called here and they convinced me their tint was better, so I chose them. Due to an issue at the other shop they told me to come over to ultimate tint and wheel (their other location) which I did. I had something to do that day and wouldn't be back before they closed. I asked if I should just bring it the next day and they said I could bring it that day and they'd keep it in the garage overnight for a next day pick up. Great! I pick it up early the next morning and there are several error alerts on my tesla screen. There were also some issues outside the vehicle, like a hole in a rubber piece etc. I asked for a worker to come out and he did. He told me they didn't put the small hole there and said the errors on the car should clear. I left, not before taking photos and videos of the errors. I drove the car hoping the errors would clear and they didnt. I called several times since then and even went in. They asked me to bring the car back so they can look at it. They had it all day and their conclusion was "they don't know what happened". I finally get an appointment with tesla who tells me rodents ate my wires. They give me the date and it was when it was at the tint shop overnight. $1400.00 to fix. I let the tint place know and they say "we spray monthly we don't have rodents". I ask for the owner, call and go up there several times. They won't give me the owners info but say they'll give him mine. No follow up or phone call to date.
