I came here on February 1st and today (February 2nd.) Mind you I didn't have the best experience yesterday when I went in before closing. But I decided to give them another shot plus I really wanted something hot. It's been super cold these past few days so I figured I get the gumbo. First thing he gave me a hard time about was whether or not the gumbo was good. Without having to pull to many teeth he let me have a sample. It wasn't my gumbo, but I knew it would hit the spot with a little bit of salt. So I paid him almost 11 dollars after tax for the large portion and went on my way. Heres were it went south I got back to my place. started making my son and myself a bowl. Not much longer I found that there was little to no chicken and only two sausages. So I call immediately to try and get some understanding or explanation. They start going back and fourth about how nobody else complained, there's always meat it the portions, and then accused me of eating it and wanting to come back for more. I took a lot of offensive to the last statement. Finally he said ,"what do you want me to do?" My simple response was ,"Ill bring it back and you can remake it or you can just give me the chicken that I paid for." He finally said ,"everything is sold as is". I knew I could give more of an uproar and even get my money back potentially. But what's the point when it's going to be a headache and stress afterwards? I learned my lesson and will not be returning by all means. They should be more professional, considerate, and courteous. But mind you they probably aren't from this country. So why would they care about Americans? In finalization I learned sometimes restaurants are empty for a reason . 😒 Oh beware the cashier likes to forget items that...
Read moreIf you like fried chicken, this is the place!! My husband and I come here often. It's not fancy, it's for food on the go. It's clean and there are no restrooms.
I don't know the ladys' name that owns the place, but she is always so friendly and has a smile, serving up this good food. The gentleman, maybe her husband, is nice, not as friendly as her, he needs some customer service skills, lol. The younger guy needs to stay home. I only encountered him once, but he was rude and not friendly at all.
The shrimp and the Gumbo is also delicious. It's not Grandma's Gumbo, but it is Good. The chicken is always so juicy. So make sure you have a napkin... or three. My husband loves their fried fish. Cooked just right. The fries are always good to me.
There are also desserts. Sweet Potato Pie, Pecan Pie, Louisiana Crunch Cake, Sock It To Me Cake, Chocolate Cake, Vanilla Wafer Pudding, and others. My husband really likes the Sweet Potato Pie.
There are other items on the menu I have not tried yet, but I am sure they won't disappoint!
I love Louisiana Fried Chicken and only knew of the locations in L.A. When I moved to Vegas, a co- worker came in with some and they told me about this location, I was overjoyed to find out about this Victorville location. I would always stop here on my way back to Vegas when visiting California. I have moved back to Cali since, so everytime I go to Vegas and coming back to Cali I stop here for some delicious fried Chicken. You should too!!
They also serve up ICEE's...
Read moreI used to frequent this location years ago. The same woman behind the counter every time. This time I came in and wasn't even greeted by the associate behind the counter. The young lady was too busy facing the chef, shaking her head because she was waiting for an order to be completed. All the while, I'm feeling like she could have at least taken my order. I stood there. For minutes. And left. I even said, "have a good day," the associate still with her back to the front of the store didn't even turn. I fear I may never come back. While I was there, I noticed increased meal prices, of course forcing a drink upon the meal increases prices... Even my favorite, their chicken egg rolls had increased in price. I'm glad the location has had the ability to hire new staff and give the owners a break but at what cost? How many customers have been...
