Verbally Abusive Management
After making a purchase on Friday, I returned the following day to make an additional purchase of more of the same items. To my surprise the bill on Saturday was 50% off, so I searched the ad and found that they had a huge sale that ended Saturday, they are closed on Sunday so I presented after work Monday to inquire about the discrepancy. The person at returns called over management because the line items on the receipts are only broken into category and not description, so they needed him to approve adjustments with lack of item description. I showed him line for line the item pricing was the same (discount lacking day 1), I explained what each item was, he proceeded to ask more questions and I stated I was getting frustrated (with lack of equal understanding) and waved my arm and said come with me and I will show you everything I purchased. As I walked five steps to get a hand basket for the items, he yelled back at me stating “I am not a dog and I will not follow you around”, I turned around and said excuse me. He continued to raise his voice now outright YELLING to the entire front of the store “I am just trying to help you, he proceeded to pace the front end of the store snapping his fingers back and forth deliberately attempting to draw everyones attention in my direction and continuing with “you should really treat people the way you want to be treated” and snapped toward the door for me to leave. When I asked his name he stated it was T.S. although he worn no name tag I don’t know this to be a correct identification. When I asked for district manager contact info (who worked with me Friday for my purchases as there was no associate in site to help me locate items), he denied the request. When I asked for a corporate phone number he shouted at me to “LOOK IT UP YOURSELF ONLINE”. Such blatant disrespect from an authority figure of an establishment reflects entirely on the business and makes you worry about what Hobby Lobby deems acceptable behavior. His actions were a clear attempt in exuding power and attempting to humiliate a women who made a level headed inquiry for assistance. I NEVER would have expected such behavior from an employee of a christian establishment, as a frequent flier at both Hobby Lobby and Mardels I have never experienced such behavior from any other employee. Unfortunately this outright aggressive attack has left me scarred from ever setting foot back inside with place. Thank god, for video footage, as I filed a corporate complaint and there is no way his actions can be denied. I just hope that no other customer receives the blunt end of his verbally abusive stick.    Read moreUnder new mgmt but still an excellent shopping experience. Very friendly and helpful employees guided by equally friendly and helpful leadership. Clean, orderly store. Prices may initially appear high, but are actually quite low if you shop within the revolving weekly sales (weekly sales flyers are available right up front and of course online, as well as individually posted near the specific sale items). The number of available brands is shrinking for many different items across the store, but the selection of differing types of items is expanding. For example, they've just added a brand new Kitchen section (non-seasonal, regularly ordered stock) containing dishware, small appliances and more, some of it being favorite seasonal items now available year round, as well as lots of items altogether brand new to...

I witnessed him harassing an employee who was clearly working hard to keep up with the crowd, while he stood idly by joking around with a young girl next to him. The contrast was disturbing...rather than stepping in to support his team during a busy rush, he chose to demean them in front of everyone. The tension among the staff was obvious as I even overheard two employees saying how tired they were of the situation.
