This place is awesome!!! From the employees to the food, they never get it wrong. They are always on-point! The food is the best around, the atmosphere is upbeat & friendly! I can't say one negative thing about Tokyo😊 Visited again today (8-2-20), for a late lunch. They were quite busy, as is expected from an awesome restaurant like Tokyo! I requested I be seated in a booth, but the gentleman said no booths were available. I told him, I'd wait. After about 10 minutes, I noticed 3 booths unoccupied. When the man came back by, I inquired about the 3 open booths. He explained about social distancing, which I knew about (just wasn't thinking🤔😊). He asked again if I wanted a table, so I said, "Yes, that's fine!" He said it would be about 5 mins. longer. I said that was fine. Not even 2 minutes later, a couple who had been seated in a booth got up to leave. Almost immediately, the gentleman came to the front to ring them up & to tell me I could have that booth after he cleaned it. I smiled & said that was fine. I was then seated in the booth. I apologized for the confusion, & he said, "No problem!" Amazing & very friendly customer service😊 I ordered the hibachi shrimp entree & a Coca-Cola. As always, everything was hot & delicious! I didn't even have to ask for a drink refill. It was there before I realized it! Another wonderful...
Read moreTokyo is a decent sushi place to go to, especially when you’re on a budget and you’re craving some Asian food. I honestly do not like going to this restaurant because it’s quite dark inside and the chairs & tables feel crammed in the space. My friend and I went to have lunch there awhile ago, since we wanted sushi and we didn’t want to spend much. This is the second time I went here. The first visit was alright though. Anyway, I’m not sure if they forgot to take our order down or what but we had to wait 40+ minutes to get our food. I would usually post photos of my food whenever I’d make a review, but honestly they took so long awhile ago that I didn’t bother to pull my phone out to take photos. We did not enjoy our experience since the food took forever. I would also mention that their sushi isn’t the best (compared to other restaurants in the vicinity) but you do get what you pay for. Also, I think they’re the only sushi restaurant (I’ve been to) that put imitation crab meat sticks on a sashimi platter.
Would love to give 2 stars at most (for the ambience, the waiting time and the food itself) but the server was really nice & friendly so they get an extra star for that.

Read moreTokyo Thai Sushi Hibachi is a surprising gem that merges the distinct flavors of Japanese and Thai cuisine. Admittedly, I was initially hesitant to try a sushi restaurant in West Virginia, however, my dining experience proved to be a delightful revelation that upended my expectations.
Stepping into Tokyo Thai, one immediately feels a sense of calm and welcoming. The restaurant’s interior is tastefully decorated, with traditional Thai accents mingling harmoniously with a subtly modern aesthetic. The quiet, clean environment sets the stage for the culinary journey that awaits.
The sushi at Tokyo Thai is exceptional, with an evident emphasis on freshness and quality. Each roll is expertly crafted, and the fish is undeniably fresh. The selection is creative, offering both classic rolls and unique combinations that blend the flavors of Japan and Thailand in a harmonious dance.
Adding to the experience was the superb service. The staff was attentive and professional, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal.
The thought of sushi in landlocked West Virginia might raise eyebrows, but this restaurant manages to deliver high-quality, fresh sushi that challenges this...
