My husband took his iphone here to have the screen repaired. Not sure what went wrong, but the technician broke the phone. The "manager" Brian orders a new phone without consulting with us FIRST. He orders the cheapest found on Amazon and tells us it'll arrive in 5 days. As if, we are going to go almost a week without a phone. We find one online with free one day shipping. We place the order and send the receipt to Brian. The receipt was requested by Brian - he stated he could not issue us a check without the receipt. Which is ridiculous! What if we did not want to purchase a new phone? Does that change the fact that YOUR company broke our original phone? I don't think so....
Brian then states he will cut us a check for the amount of the cheapest phone he found on Amazon (NOT the amount we spent on a new phone). Brian tells us we can come pick up the check within a week. I told him absolutely NOT. He then says "fine, pick it up Monday" (The phone was damaged on a Thursday).
I arrive at the facility to pick up the "check" today (Monday) and Brian hands me cash. I asked him, "what happened to the check, we were waiting on". Brian walks away without responding.

My battery had died in the -20 degree wind chill in Chicago. I received a jump and drove to the BPB location at 7111 W. North Ave. The service was totally five stars. The manager was very concerned regarding my safety. They had sold out of my size battery, so he called another location and asked if they would be on standby with the battery and install it for me. He made sure to give me a jump and conifrmed the other location at 240 E Roosevelt Rd, Villa Park, was waiting for me with the battery. (The staff at this location was even more attentive, and also provided five-star service.)The only reason that I'm deducting one star is because corporate offered 20% when placing the order online. When I used the code, it was refused. Even the manager tried other codes for the 20%, and all were rejected. When I checked out, the 20% was replaced with 10%. I figured that Batteries Plus corporate was taking advantage of the freezing weather and quickly dropped their 20% offer for more profit. Read moreI have been bringing my phone here for years and my other phones from my company. I had a screen replaced on my iPhone 7+ and a week later experienced issues with screen going black. If I pressed it in a certain spot it would stay on. After doing this over and over I decided to bring my phone back in. First tech told me he isn’t the best but will try his best to fix it because it’s under warranty. He did seem to get it working better until the next day I woke up to the black screen. I brought it back in and another tech told me he can’t warranty it because it’s got a hairline crack in it (from me pushing the screen to get it to work) I was told they can’t do anything for me even after doing business there for years. Willing to even pay money STILL everyone here is basically pushing me out the door, not even offering a solution. The owner of the store relayed a message to the techs to have me go to corporate which the number they gave me wasn’t even the correct number. After asking to talk with owner multiple times he “didn’t want to talk”. I am very disipointed in how they would treat a long term loyal customer. I will never go here again.
