For a Metropolitan area major railroad train station, I have found this station to be great. It is conveniently located in the center of Scarsdale, so you could pop up to.Scarsdale one lovely.summer or fall.evening, walk to.the great 808 Bistro, have a fantastic dinner, walk back to the train station and be back in the City in no time. You have to be careful if you drive to the station and want to.park your car --- there seem to be different regulations for different days, so.read the signs carefully. There is a Starbucks with seating almost inside the station, there is a slope up.which you can walk any heavy suitcases towards the back of the train on the New York.City bound side, where there are also ticket machines, and almost best of all, there is a great cab/ car service company located towards the front of the city bound train called Central.Taxi, and it is great. You can call ahead for a cab to meet you in Scarsdale or bring you.home, the despatchers are nice and cheerful, the drivers are polite and lovely, and their cars are spotless. A really rxcellent service at a truly nice train station. One small note: I.do not know what the rest room situation is like in...
Read moreThey contract and lease out their office to one shady, #discriminatory and #verballyabusive taxi service #monopoly (three decades and no one else in that village) that charges different people different rates, blames you when they are late or early, but will also pick up and drop off their favorite clients first while charging you single payer fees. They've been there 30 years and claim to have medallions yet you have to have your ID badge #, #inspection notice, and some kind of camera/surveillance to protect customers. Also if a client is grieving, heading to a funeral; don't say "fix your attitude". You got my money, learn respect baby boy and don't bite the hands that pay you. Get #Uber or #Lyft for a #safe #discrimination free, fair ride with good people. Never getting into one of those podunk Pinto 1990s...
Read moreThe train station of aristocrats. It's small and quaint and convenient. It can get very tight during rush hours. You can certainly find food and coffee just about everywhere. The lower portion of the train station is real convenient for Dunkin donuts and pizza. The upper part of the train station you have Starbucks at every kind of restaurant you can imagine in one of the wealthiest villages on the planet. Many trains come through here on a daily basis and you can get express trains in New York City. You even have help from the police department during rush hours. What can I say? I pass the train station everyday. I never use it because I don't use public transportation but to those who do I'm sure...
