First City Staffing — Local services in Vincennes

What a complete $hit$how. Receptionist is completely clueless. I applied for a internal position and did not receive a call either way. I was interviewed by the owner. I did a follow up call and asked for the owners name which is Scott. They were at lunch and I did not get a return call. 2nd follow up call I asked for Scott and the receptionist acted like there was no one there by that name. Another position came available and I wanted to see if I could could apply for that one, mind you I have over 20 years of management experience....but again, no return call. I believe there is some kind of legal problem because they are changing their name to First City Staffing and disengaging from Scott as the owner. There are plenty of staffing companies in Vinny,...

Everyone acts like they don’t know what they are doing. Apparently not everyone can do the same job or at least give you simple info that is needed. I had to ask an other individual how to get my check because that info was never given. I had to call to ask about getting hired on with the company they “helped” me get with and I was 25+ days past what should have been my full time start date. Not entirely there fault but I was getting paid by them so I would want to know where my money went as a company. I recommend going through any other agency before...

I would recommend Elite Staffing for anyone. They interview you and go over your skills and/ or limitations to find a job/ career to suit the individual. The staff are respectable people with your goals in mind. I went in and landed a direct placement position; however, temp to hire work is available for people who are able to show up everyday. The pay is better than the agency's I have dealt with in the past. The key to any good job is be honest and show up in my opinion; it can affect future...
