Cherry Bomb Tattoo and piercing — Local services in Vinton

My girlfriend got this tattoo here by Eddie and honestly the picture is enough to explain the bad review. We went in just to make an appointment for a consult thinking it would only take 5 minutes to make the appointment. Ended up being there over an hour after he wanted to see it and just watching Eddie trace over the picture of exactly what she wanted and just wouldn’t say anything. My girlfriend mentioned that she didn’t think it would take all that long and Eddie proceeded to say “you’ve been watching too many TV shows” i found that to be pretty disrespectful to say to a customer. The day of the tattoo we were told to be there at 12:30 and Eddie didn’t start tattooing until 1:30 or so. My girlfriend has a full sleeve and knows what the pain of tattooing can be. She explained to me that it felt like he was carving her skin with a knife when he started shading. I mean just look at this line work in this tattoo. ridiculous. Eddie told us before that it would be an easy tattoo no problem and it turned out like this. If i was a tattoo artist i could never let someone walk out the door like that. Terrible experience and I would not recommend Eddie to anyone. The other artist that was in there seemed very nice and may do excellent work, but Eddie is a no. He said it would be easy and look at it. Crazy. 0/10 horrible experience.

I’ve been going to Tim Havens at Cherry Bomb Tattoo for over 20 years, and he has done all of my tattoos as well as multiple piercings. Tim is an awesome guy. He’s down to earth, no BS, very honest, and incredibly knowledgeable at what he does. He’s a talented artist, a local business owner, and an all-around good person.

I’ve watched his business grow throughout the years, and I always recommend him to anyone who asks about my tattoos. I have very visible pieces, and when people compliment me in public, I never hesitate to tell them where I go. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my tattoos or piercings.

Cherry Bomb Tattoo has recently expanded, and their selection of jewelry for piercings is amazing. I just had my nose re-pierced and picked out a gorgeous blue floral gem that I’ve already received so many compliments on.
