I really donāt like to leave a bad review however I really feel that I should. Zero stars would be my choice but itās not an option unfortunately. I placed an online grocery order around 11:30 am with a pickup slot of 4-5 pm. I received a call from the store telling me that they were unable to complete my order for that time slot due to issues at the store. They couldnāt give me an answer on a pickup time. I waited until around 6 pm and called to check if complete and was told no. So, I asked if I could have it for the next morning 8-9 am. Again I waited but no text so at 10 am I called and was told it was ready. Thanks for letting me know! I showed up to pickup and had to go in as part of it was my sisterās order and had to be paid with EBT and the rest was mine and was to be paid with my debit card. Well, the EBT card was swiped then my debit cardā¦all good right? NO! A couple days later I noticed on my banking app that the entire total was deducted from my card so I checked with my sister and she called to check her EBT balance and nothing was deducted from her card. The only reason I used it at all is that Kroger is cheaper on 1 of 4 medications than Walmart by 30 bucks. Walmart use to get the other 3, but I moved them to this Kroger's. From day 1 from 20 years back, I have had some off the wall experience with them, from wrong dosages and pill quantities, not having my insurance info still stored, calling to let me know the refill is ready and showing up to find out I need to come back the next day. The automated system calling me every day for a week to let me know to pickup a refill I have already picked up. Today's visit was for refills called in yesterday, system said to pick up any time after 3pm. So the 2 refills weren't ready, be 15 minutes, fine I'll wait. 20 minutes later, call me up to the register. It is infuriatingly slow - I literally wait at least 20 minutes, usually closer to 30 minutes, for my groceries to finally come out. I understand, especially with larger orders, that it takes time to gather an order. But out of all of the stores at which I've picked up orders, this one is literally the worst. 90% of the time, I will actually place grocery orders at other nearby grocery stores instead of Kroger for this very reason. They are losing business, and I know I'm not the only person who feels this way. I see the pained looks of fellow shoppers anxiously sitting in their cars waiting for their own orders to finally come out. And don't get me started on Instacart grocery pickup with this Kroger - they basically will never bring the order out to you because it isn't seen as a priority.
