We enjoy going to Vinton Bowling Center, it's fun and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is that there isn't enough staff the majority of the time. Waiting on food or shoes can be irritating sometimes. They get a 2 star bc we had a kid's birthday here one time and I spent an hour and half of it running back and forth to get the food and drinks for a birthday party I paid for bc they were so understaffed. Nobody received their food at the same time, it took forever bc only 2 people were working in the whole center that day. I spent half of my time missing the party and instead, working for free plus paid a decent amount for a party. I mentioned this a few days later to the person I booked the party with and nothing was done. It would have been nice to at least get an apology or maybe a couple games free next time or something. I was disappointed, I know things happen but acknowledging what happened along with better customer service from the person who does the reservations would have given them a...
Read moreI remember when Vinton Bowling Center was a place for a great time with family, well-kept, and fun all around. This past weekend with family visiting, some lanes were not working, the lanes that were working- half the time broke down we had to wait 3 minutes for our balls to come back up, 3 minutes maybe even more for the gates to actually raise back up and put new pins down or to continue your game. Balls were scarce, cleanliness was decent, and bathrooms worked. Food and Service was decent as well, as soon as we told the technicians we had a problem most of the time they would get everything running back up within the next few minutes. After switching lanes three times it was a bit smoother. What turned out to be one game that lasted one hour and a half, was half an hour for the others game. If your patient and don't mind the standing around waiting and talking, it...
Read moreI’ve been going here for years and watched it get worse and worse. The equipment is in such disrepair. Constant issues during each game. Gate getting stuck to ball return problems. Makes for a long game. My last visit was for a birthday party and it sucked. Spent more time going to counter to report problems which caused us to only had time for 1 game during the allowed 2 hour time slot. There were only 10 people and 3 lanes that we were assigned. We should’ve easily had time for 2 games. Then the little birthday boy got his first bowling ball for his birthday and had it drilled there…big mistake! Why would anyone do a finger tip rather than a conventional grip? He is only 8 and has never bowled. David Cox you sure are missed in more ways than you think. Avoid this bowling alley. Not worth the aggravation. Customer service needs work. Not friendly at all…a smile would...
