I got recommended this place from friends who liked sushi. I also like to try the food here as well because I checked their website and saw they have some Korean food made me think this place would be perfect restaurant for me since I like both Sushi and Korean food. I made a plan to try many menu before I get in the restaurant . But I wasn’t lucky like my friends who recommended this place to me because the waitress made me want to change my mind to come back on another days when she seat me very poor table I feel exactly uncomfortable sitting very close to the next table like back to back to another customer. Plus it’s just right front of the door. The waitress didn’t do even greeting me but she just use her face pointed me to sit at that table. I need to ask her if I can get another better table after sat there for a few minutes, so I can move to sit in dining area. The food very good taste for me. Takosu is a little bit disappointed me with the way they cut very thin and too small portions for $14 appetizers but the taste was very very good. Age Tofu is the best for me. Nigiri sushi very good fresh especially UNI and Surf clam. I liked all the food I ordered. I will come back to try another sushi roll and Korean food and I wish I will luckier have another waitress...
Read moreAs a service industry employee, I try to not be too harsh when evaluating a restaurant; however, the service here in everyway was subpar. First of all, I do not suggest ordering a soda, it comes canned. The staff were not friendly, not helpful, and only came to the table to take our orders and drop off drinks, food, and the check. Our waitress did not refill my water or come by to offer. I asked for beef and shrimp fried rice, I was then presented with shrimp and pork. To make matters worse, my waitress then said that the kitchen refused to remake my order and asked if I was okay with eating the shrimp and pork fried rice. Of course I wasn't, because that is not what I ordered. When my fried rice came out, there was hardly any beef on it and absolutely no shrimp. I decided that I was too hungry to wait any longer to eat, so I decided against waiting for the shrimp. The fried rice itself was flavorless and I had to add a lot of soy sauce in order to achieve flavor, the gyoza was at least good. When my bill came out, I was then charged for the shrimp that I was not given. The waitress did not seem pleased to hear that I was calling her out on another mistake. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed in the service and I will not be...
Read moreWe gave this place a shot, as it was recommended by acquaintances. First thing i noticed was the dim atmosphere, dirty dishes, water stains on the ceiling panels, cheap decore and the atrocious carpet. The seating was awful - we had a corner booth and the bench was too tall for the table so, we had to practically bend over to eat. Service speed was mediocre, as there were only 2 people running the floor. Cooked food was palatable. The gyoza were definitely machine made, age tofu was spot-on. Everything from the sushi bar was less than satisfactory. Many items weren't available and what we could order, had the appearance that it was made by someone who was a self taught. Nori was chewy, rolls were tiny, fish looked like it had been sitting out for a while. Specialty rolls looked horrendous, like some kind of abomination. Skill was lacking and with sushi, sashimi, nigiri appearance/presentation is everything. The sashimi was poorly cut, the tuna was off-colored and falling apart at the muscle fibers. Overall, not worth the drive or the overly...
