Good afternoon,
I would like to reach out to advise you all of my horrible experience on Sunday 05/26 at your restaurant located at 3300 Princess Anne Rd Suite 755, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. I have never been so disappointed in the quality of customer service or as well as the availability of items not present. To start, I would like to acknowledge the wait time that it took to be seated. Me and my party of 2 stood at the door for about 10 minutes before we were even seated; that was the first red flag. We arrived before 10:00 p.m. which still is plenty time before closing to get seated as well as to get serviced our food. The waiter did not advise us upon being seated of the limited availability of literally everything requested. I ordered a Blue long island along with the shot of the month which was Lunazul. I waited for about another 10 minutes to be advised that they were out of what was needed to make the long island and also they were out of the Lunazul. I then requested a Henny Hustle and then was advised that they were out of everything except Rum. I am not a fan of rum so I decided not to drink. My guest ordered Pepsis for their drinks. We were asked if we wanted appetizers. We requested the house sampler and asked if we could sub the chicken with the Chili. The waiter responded saying " I don't think so" without even going to check. We proceeded to order it anyway. I asked to try the honey siracha and the honey garlic sauce. I was advised that they were out of the honey garlic sauce. We proceeded to wait on the sampler which took forever to arrive. I ordered 10 wings which were divided between honey bbq and medium extra crispy. Refills were not given and we had to literally call over the waiter to receive one. When we requested a refill we were advised that they were out of Pepsi. We proceeded to request mountain dew instead. The mountain dew taste like tonic/seltzer water. We proceeded to ask for Lemonade and was advised that they were out of that as well. We finally requested Starry and it was better but still a bit flat. This is unacceptable. When the sampler finally arrived, the boneless wings were overcooked, the onion rings taste like they were cooked in old grease because they were really dark and the nachos were soggy and barely had chicken on them. When my wings arrived, they advised me that they made them all honey bbq by accident and advised me that they would be making another batch of medium. The batch of medium wings were rushed as you could tell and they were not extra crispy as requested. I was highly dissatisfied and so was the waiter. She completely ignored us and did not come by to check on us without us requesting her and she was very stand offish due to the lack of items requested and not being able to meet our needs. I just want to say that I would have never stayed and dine if I would have known I would be spending my hard earned money at this establishment that was clearly out of a lot of items and was not communicative about informing us of the circumstances before hand just so they wouldn't lose out on a sale. This is ridiculous, unprofessional and I would like so type of compensation for the inconvenience that me and my party endured. It is not our fault as the customer if you as the producer does not have what is requested so the attitude of the waiter should have been toned down to meet the customers were we are given the circumstances. I will not be revisiting this location in the near future given...
Read moreI’ve been going to this location since we moved here in 2016. The regular bartenders Monique and Tim , there was another one but she left last year, are amazing. They are attentive and personable. So let’s fast forward to 2020, not sure it’s Covid related but could be who knows. The newer staff in the bar area while nice enough really don’t have a clue as to what it means to be busy and still deliver great customer service. Today 9/7/2020 I stopped in around 1:00pm for a quick drink and lunch. The young man who was serving the bar area was very overwhelmed at best. It took 15 minutes after I was seated to take my drink order and then took another 10 minutes for him to bring the drink and take my order. After 25 minutes of waiting he brought my order. The side was wrong , so he excused himself to take care of that. During the 15 additional minutes for him to correct the side being wrong he dropped the food at my table then left. The side was warm for the most part, however the wings were just slightly above the temperature of my blue cheese dip. So I tried the wings and it was obvious that they had been placed back under the warning lamps while the side was made. Even the side was just barely edible due to the temperature but I hadn’t eaten yet for the day so I sort of enjoyed it. During this time the bartender was no where to be found. I had finished my drink and side several minutes before he returned. He offered to get my a another drink but didn’t realize I had only eaten half a wing. So I asked him to take the wings off the order as it was obvious that the wings sat under the heat lamp and became cold and rubbery. He offered to remake them but at this point I was so aggravated I just said no thank you. For anyone who has worked in a restaurant before you would have thought to immediately get a manager and take the appropriate steps from there. However this wasn’t the case today, he took another 10 minutes to return with my check, and after he took the money another additional 10 minutes before he brought my change back to the table. During this entire visit I saw the bartender and two other servers. NEVER did I see a manager on the floor at anytime I will say during this time I only saw about 25 customers in total. So that’s not a busy day at all for anyone in the food service industry. While I could easily be upset at the bartender I will save my aggravation for Curtis the GM, it shows lack of leadership and training for his staff. And also shows his sustain for his customers who frequent this local neighborhood establishment. I do hope the owner of this location not only ensures proper training moving forward but holds the management staff at a higher level of expectations. When businesses fail it’s rarely the fault of the employees but a disconnect of management and communication among the leadership team. I’d like to add that it seems that there are less employees working at this location as well.
Will I be back? I will but when I walk in and don’t see Tim or Monique I will turn right around and leave. Because I know the Chesapeake location will deliver on service and food quality or maybe I’ll just run and grab some Mexican food as...
Read moreWhere to start... I am not the person to write a bad review but this unfortunately had to be my first. Mind you, I am coming from a restaurant family and spent ten years opening and working on restaurants. Our party arrived at 6:30 (there were 13 of us total). We put our drink orders in and received waters promptly. Our bar drinks took close to 30 minutes (beers and two cocktails) which was not an issue at this point. We all understand we arrived at prime dinner time. We placed our appetizer orders and dinner for the one child we had with us. All came in a normal time frame. It was from this point things took an unreasonable turn. The table had finished the few apps we got to share and we’re still waiting to place our entree orders. Eventually our server came to take orders and we placed them by tickets (I.e. who was paying together ordered together because she said that was easiest). Fast forward to 8:15 and no food has hit the table. All three tables behind us and two on the opposite side had received their food (starter and entree) prior to us receiving our dinner, and had all arrived after we did by 30 minutes at best. We eventually received our dinner in waves and immediately asked for our tickets, catching the vibe that this would not be a quick process. Our server then had to go back around the table and ask each guest what they ordered and who they were paying with... 20 minutes later she moved to a different POS and spent more time there. There was a man who had the attitude of a manager but was wearing what appeared to be gym shorts and a t shirt... professional right? Eventually our server got our tickets to us and we took them to the front to close out quickly.. two tickets were incorrect but she fixed them and we were finally done..
Mind you this is NOT all a service review. I don’t know how long our server had been in her position but NO help was offered to her (only one server helped her run food and gave her a lot of unnecessary attitude in doing so). No manager came to the table to explain what the wait was for, or to help this poor girl. This entire situation falls on the management and service staff as a whole for poor execution... I guarantee we will never be back because of...
