I recently posted a review of this company that may have been a bit unfair...I therefore have deleted it and am reposting.
The problems I experienced were, at least, as much my fault as theirs... that said:
I had a broken glass screen on an LG K20+; I found their site, reviewed a couple of YouTube videos and purchased a replacement to do the repair myself... BIG MISTAKE!
Some "repairs" are just not possible... Because of electrostatic glue used to attach the glass to the LCD in this particular model LG phone, the glass should not/can't be replaced on its own (but no way to know that from the company's listing)... you need to replace both pieces together.
I still feel that they bear some responsibility for selling products without full disclosure, vague instructions and difficult return policy... BUT... as said earlier, I take responsibility too.
They did reach out to me after I posted the negative review... offered a replacement. Problem is... the attempted repair ruined the phone and I ended up having to buy a new one (different model, so replacement part is useless)!
From all the off-site reviews I've seen (wish I'd seen BEFORE I bought), the bottom line is- you're taking a chance if you buy from here (or anywhere) and attempt to do the repair yourself. Do your homework first! I can only say at this point that they did provide what they said they would (even if instructions were vague), they shipped quickly and seem to be willing to try to make things right if there is a problem.
My bad experience boils down to one thing... Even a professional should think twice about trying to do self repairs and Phone Remedies should be doing more to make this clear to potential customers.
In closing......
Read moreI need to begin by stating that this review is primarily on the customer service I received more so than the actual product I purchased from Phone Remedies.
After dropping my phone and breaking the screen, I ordered a Motorola Z LCD screen from Phone Remedies in hopes of fixing my own phone. I turned to some videos on YouTube for guidance and I successfully installed the screen. Initially, everything was working great. However, after placing the double-sided adhesive and applying some pressure for about an hour, the screen was no longer working. I could not, for the life of me, figure out the reason for which the screen would no longer work and so I turned to the customer service on Phone Remedies for help. I was fortunate enough to be in constant contact with Mark Wallace. He would respond to my inquiries and concerns in a timely and helpful manner. He really made this troublesome ordeal much better and I am grateful for his help. They decided to ship me a replacement screen and I could not be happier with the company, their customer service, and Mark for being very considerate...
Read moreI ordered an LCD assembly for a Samsung Galaxy a50 from phone remedies. When I received it I became concerned then it was not a super AMOLED screen that comes standard in the Samsung. I expressed these concerns prior to my installation to the customer service representative at phone remedies, they assured meof the screens quality and asked me to test it before I completed the installation, they were also more than willing to accept the item back.I decided rather than sending the screen back that I would test it. I pulled out another Samsung a50 and began comparing screen quality. To my surprise Not only was the LCD brighter and whiter... The blacks were also well-balanced, and the image was much sharper. In fact the LCD screen I received from phone remedies appeared superior in quality to the OEM assembly when directly compared. The functions of the digitizer we're also thoroughly tested prior to installation and worked perfectly. I have to say that I am surprised and beyond pleased with the quality of this product....
