Honest review from a regular joe. I visited the store this weekend with a bulk load of gaming consoles and over 200 games. The clerk I dealt with was both extremely rude and unwilling to help at any level. I asked for a price for just a single item, even a ball park and was told that they couldn't assist and if I wanted to get prices closer to eBay then I needed to go through the eBay process. I understood that upfront as well as their need to review my used item, but what I wasn't prepared for (with over 200 items of merch) was 35 minutes of them literally playing video games on the 1 console, wiggling the wires with force, to check every aspect before offering me a ridiculous value that they knew would have me walking away. Whether they didn't want to go through the efforts due to the volume of items I had with me or my questions "annoyed" them, I'm not sure. The item was a PlayStation 3 in excellent physical (very clean) and fully working condition with wireless remotes and all hardware. They are selling a lessor item on their shelf right now for $85, but offered me $25. When I asked why so low the response was "they need to keep the lights on". At a 70% margin (buy to sell) they didn't nearly live up to their "PAYMORE" name nor the information on their site. If you want pennies on the dollar and to waste significant time for them to verify every single aspect of our item so they can nickel & dime you , then by all means visit. I won't be going back nor would I recommend this facility to others in the community. Even when asking the clerk's name (no name tag) he said he didn't want to give it... what store and/or human does this? You may have a better experience and ample time/patience, but I'd suggest going elsewhere for sanity and...

Let me start by saying that the name "PayMore" is incredibly fitting â they definitely charge way more than they should. Their prices are outrageously high compared to other stores and online options.
But that's not even the worst part. I recently had an extremely uncomfortable experience at their North Raleigh location. After making a purchase, one of the employees asked me to take a selfie while holding up three fingers to verify my identity. I've never been asked to do something so strange at any store before. To make it worse, I could hear other employees chuckling in the background, clearly amused by the whole situation. It felt like a bizarre joke at my expense.
I was so put off that I immediately canceled my order. I even called PayMore in Pennsylvania to report the incident and cancel other orders I had with them. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and downright creepy.
As a business owner who regularly purchases iPads, Magic Keyboards, and Apple Pencils for my employees, I will no longer be using PayMore. From now on, I'll stick with Expercom or buy directly from Apple.
Erik Helgesen and Stephen R. Preuss, the owner and CEO, need to be aware of what's going on at their North Raleigh franchise. This experience was unsettling and completely...
Read moreNo stars. I was gifted a brand new Apple Watch for Christmas and I took it to this location to see what I could get for it.
My issue is this: The gentleman dropped my watch 3 total times and I asked if he could be careful with it because it was brand new. His response was âoh it doesnât matter if it gets scratched or anything, weâll still buy it.â
That wasnât the point sir. If I wanted to take my watch some place else or decide to keep it for myself I would rather it not be dropped by a stranger when I had not the pleasure to âaccidentallyâ drop it myself.
I heard sometimes these companies and pawnshops drop your items on purpose in hopes that youâll just sale the item to them and theyâll turn it around for a bigger profit. Was highly disappointed with the service offered and how my item was improperly handled.
