I visited Joyland on 7-1 with my 3 children ages 1, 5, and 8.
Pros: Great location Lots of parking Very clean facility and bathrooms
Cons
Young girl working was on her phone as she completed my transaction and answered my questions. It’s nothing more rude than when young people have their AirPods in and are holding two conversations at once. There were times when she was looking at me but talking on her phone. It was 78 degrees inside on a 95 degree day. Their air was set to 64 degrees. I don’t know if it was ventilation issues or AC issues but it was hot. You are not allowed to bring food or drinks inside. They have water fountains but they are near the bathroom (I don’t drink water fountains near bathrooms iykyk) They have a water bottle refill station but you can’t bring bottles in so it doesn’t really make sense. Their price per child no matter what their age, is $15.99 for 2 hours. One adult does enter free with children. There is no different price for younger ages which was shocking to me. HyperKidz and Scramble even have a different price for toddlers vs older children. They also don’t have different weekday prices vs weekend prices. Paying $16 for a space where my one year old could not even use half of the equipment was unsettling. The space is small. It is the size of the surrounding businesses. I was so happy to have a place close to home but for $16 per child I will take my kids where it is half the price and they actually have more things to do. They require non slip socks. Every indoor playground I have been to requires socks but not non slip socks. The non slip socks are a money grab. They look similar to the sky zone socks but nothing in there is slippery so I really didn’t understand the non slip socks. As I looked around almost every family had them which confirmed for me it was a money grab. Their website also didn’t have the socks under their admissions tab.
I will not be coming back. I really wanted to support a new black owned business but it seems like a money grab for the size and what they...
Read moreJoyland is a wonderful place for families with young children. The play equipment is perfectly sized so parents can comfortably escort or play alongside their little ones — a big plus for first-time visitors or cautious kids. Everything feels thoughtfully designed for safety, visibility, and engagement. Making a reservation online was quick and easy, and I appreciated the clear communication before arrival. The admission setup — one parent included per child — makes it convenient and affordable for families. The facility itself is exceptionally clean, especially the restrooms, which are often overlooked at play centers but here are spotless and well-maintained. The entire space feels bright, organized, and well cared for. I scour the town for indoor play spaces for my Godson and by far this one is one of the best!!!! The play equipment is scaled appropriately for different age groups and encourages both exploration and physical activity. You can tell that the designers really considered what children love and what parents need — safe spaces, sturdy structures, and plenty of seating to observe without worry. In short, Joyland is a gem for families seeking a clean, safe, and fun environment where kids can learn, play, and burn off energy — with parents close enough to join the fun....
Read moreMy first time visiting back in August was wonderful! The play area and restroom were clean. I will note there are a couple hidden areas, that was out of view from the main sitting area.
Update, we visited this location recently over this past weekend for a birthday party. It was busier than usual, I waited patiently for the front desk person to return. When she did she immediately assisted the people who came in behind me although I was standing at the desk. Which I found extremely rude, as I was standing closest and first in line at the desk. There was no apology or I'll be right with you. I did want to also note, on this visit the restrooms they provided shoe covers which was a positive. The bathroom conditions on the otherhand were deplorable as there was feces smeared on the walls and urine on the base of the toilet and along the walls. Used tissue was placed all along the floor. When I look into places where children play cleanliness is a top priority for me. It's truly unfortunate, and do hope the owner and staff take priority to ensure their facility is cleaned throughout the day especially...
