Okay so letâs get into this!! First timer here and by 1st looks youâd think it is a black owned business⊠do not be fooled by the bad built butch BBLâs, R&B and hip-hop music blasting so loud that your entire body vibrates. Itâs Vietnamese owned ( nothing wrong with that). However, we proceeded to order the âAll you eatâ where you have 2 hours to order 3 items from the menu at a time until your time is depleted. The server who assisted us was lovely and her manager unfortunately felt the need to insert herself into our conversation in passing to help. Unfortunately, her attempt to help only yielded more confusion. As we waited we witnessed working employees consuming shots of liquor with customers, including the manager. Continuing on, once time to pay our server had informed us that we would be charged extra because there was still food on our plates⊠ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! The 2 main seafoods that were offered on the seafood boil were not in stock because the server told us that the restaurant does even attempt to purchase because itâs out of season??? I can easily go to any seafood establishment and order those items on site. Actually you can walk to the Costco in the same shopping center and supply all our business needs from there. Those items are Maryland, and Dungeness crab. So essentially youâre left with a bunch of shrimp and mussels. Next the manager comes over to tell us that theyâre saying â for future referenceââŠ..well all good⊠there will not be a next time. This was a first and a last. Take your money elsewhere because this place certainly isnât it! I should have checked the reviews before visiting because any establishment that responds to their customers reviews on google they way this company does unprofessionally I would never entertain or support with my funds!
Update!!!! This is a business going back and forth with its customers on a google review.. I CANT MAKE THIS UP, SIMPLY HERE FOR CLICKS AT THIS POINT LOL. Iâm the child but youâre a Baby business trying to succeed and failing at receiving feedback that could excel or tarnish you!?!?. Any business recommended by the Better Business Bureau would never entertain this but again.. thank you for all of this. Iâve already stated this was a 1st and last the visiting this âseafood restaurant with no seafoodâ âŠDiamond Crab has responded in the very unprofessional manner in which I predicted. Thank you for living up to that and yes youâve JOINED THE 1 STAR REVIEW CREW..welcome. Hahahahaha. Any business that cannot humbly receive feedback is doomed and by the looks k of it theyâre counting their days anyway. I hope this review...
Read moreI donât really leave reviews but this experience was terrible. I visited yesterday with my family and we did the all you can eat. The server barely smiled and just seemed uninterested. She kept forgetting to bring extra forks & plates. ( it was 4 of us but we only had 2 plates & 2 forks. I asked her twice and she acted as if she had an issue and went to the bar talking to co workers before finally (20mins later) letting me & my mom have a plate. there was only around 5 tables and I saw at least 2 servers so I donât understand the lack of service. probably because her tip was included and decided not to care. ) everyone ordered a drink. The hurricane and Mai tais were good and I like the glasses they came in. Seafood is clearly frozen especially the crawfishđ€ą they were soft, mushy, bland and undesirable. the soup is watery not creamy and had a strange after taste. my dad enjoyed the catfish po boy! Ate 2 of them. The boom boom shrimp and calamari was also very good. My mom enjoyed her boil. Well the 2nd one. She asked for mild the first time and it was spicy. We figured maybe their mild was still spicy until her 2nd boil came and it was plain garlic butter (yellow like plain butter vs the orange spicy sauce)âŠI donât know if it was the kitchen or the server but whatever. My mom didnât want to send it back and cause a fuss. Crabs legs were good & the shrimp were big and good as well. we didnât feel comfortable to talk to our server and didnât want to ask for manager so we took the L. Our bill was $358 (including the $55 gratuity & I added an extra $10 just because I know as a server you live off your tips but she really didnât deserve it ) 3 of us had the signature sauce medium and it was good but now weâre all bed ridden. I donât know if it was the seafood or the sauce but we have Stomach ache, sweats and upset stomachs. I heard about this place and was so excited to try it just to be disappointed and left sick. I would suggest sticking to the fried food and going to the bar. Bartender brought my drink and...
Read moreThe food was ok. There was nothing special from the menu that really stood out.
We got the all you can eat menu. They warn you that if you don't finish what you order, they charge extra per pound, and you can't take it home. The portions were fine. I would have ordered a la carte if I were to go back. However, I won't be back.
Some of the dishes were subpar. The coconut shrimp, for example, is just fried shrimp with coconut sauce and coconut shavings drizzled on top. It tasted ok but is definitely not the traditional. The boil itself was tasty but on the salty side of things. The fried rice was bland. The wings were tough and chewy and had no flavor underneath the sauce.
They had bibs and gloves but no utensils to actually help with the crab legs. In fact, they gave us disposable utensils to eat with as if we ordered our food to go.
The drinks were weak and took forever to get to our table. Another odd thing was that there was no consistency in how they served the drinks. My wife ordered a lemon drop that came in a high ball glass, and her second came in a martini glass. It's just odd.
The worst part of the evening was customer service. Long story short, a table across from us got into an argument about their meal and was refusing to pay. The situation escalated to the police being called. We spent the last 30 minutes of our meal with a police officer hovering over our table. I'm not sure what side was in the wrong, but management could have asked to move the conversation to an empty part of the restaurant so as not to disturb everyone else's meal. After paying the check, no one thanked us for coming or apologized for having to sit through the drama of the police standing over our table. We won't be back. There are too many other seafood restaurants to...
