Massage Envy — Local services in Waldwick

I had a very bad experience at Waldwick massage envy although I still go to another massage envy in Bergen county that is fine. I think they are independently run. About 8 months ago I went to get a massage when I told the front office attendant who has dyed beach blonde hair that my masseuse who did a good job only gave me a 47 minute massage as opposed to 50 minutes she accused me of lying. I spent about 90.00 that day and since these massage experiences are so much and my wife and I go monthly (her at waldwick and me 90% of the time at another massage envy location) I tipped 14% as opposed to the customary 18% because I invest so much money there and unlike most restaurants these experiences are costly. The attendant said “ if that’s what your going to tip it’s best if you don't come here anymore.” The ungratefulness and entitlement was amazing. She seemed to think she’s the only one with bills. She then said she was going to call the cops because I was getting “emotional” when responding. She was gaslighting me because she wanted to be rude with immunity. When I asked for her name she was so cowardly she refused to give it. I called the manager a few days later and she sided with this classless behavior. Smh. My family hasn’t been back since. I have been a member of Massage Envy for over 5 years. Everything is clean, warm and comfortable. I frequently see George for my massages and recently had Rebecca for a facial at the Waldwick, NJ location. I am always very happy with the staff and services at this location. A therapeutic massage makes me feel great and I am especially happy to say that I will keep returning for more.

Update: Like I said before, I have been a long time member and I have seen a lot of estheticians and therapists but a few have stood out for me. My most recent visit with Chelsea was wonderful, relaxing and rejuvenating. My skin has never felt better. She always recommends products that work for my skin type. I recommend Chelsea if you want to get a facial. I am now loyal to her!!!

Massage specialist was excellent and did not require the wearing of a face mask since I am vaccinated and the mandate has been lifted.

That said, I would have given the place 5 stars if it wasn't for the Insistence on mask wearing from the receptionist during a time when the mask mandate has been lifted and the majority of people in-and-out of non-medical businesses ect.. aren't wearing mask. It's a beauty spa not a hospital they are not Doctors performing surgeries and they should not be pushing a mask policy on New Vaccinated Clients making them feel Uncomfortable for choosing to not wear a mask... Bottom line if there is an active mandate you should respect it and wear the mask 😷 as I do and did but since the mandate has been lifted they should just do like other businesses do and just say Mask Encourage but not Required and allow people who want to keep wearing a mask wear it and people who don't not wear it and everyone just respects everyone so lol' I guess it's fair to say If you don't want to deal with those kind of issues go...
