Maple Barber Shop — Local services in Waldwick

This is going to sound funny, but I have trouble finding a barber who can just shave my head nicely and do a good job cleaning up around the ears. I live in Sweden and shave my own head at home, but when I come back to Waldwick to visit my family I don't bring trimmers. I have been to 4 different places around where I live and they either mess up my beard, cut the back of my neck with trimmers, leave and miss hair around my ears, and/or there is hair all over me when I leave. But at Maple Barber that is not the case AT ALL! I got a 0 buzz from Omer (I believe his name was) and he was a super kind young man. Warm and welcoming. Perfectly buzzed my head no problem (I'm sure easy work for him haha) and then took out a razor and cleaned me up around the ears and neck. Brushed all the hair off my head and finished up with a nice cream or oil at the end that felt clean and fresh. I was BEYOND happy since I was meeting a friend right after and I didn't want hair falling off me. I guess this place just means more to me since I've had so many bad experiences. Now I am looking forward to getting a head shave and a beard trim every time I come home. Few things to note: Cash Only with ATM inside. Also the interior is great. Have a nice TV in there with sports running with smaller TVs at each chair. Honestly I think the shop ads value back to Waldwick. I think it ads great character to the town center there. Looking in and seeing people getting their hair done. I wish the best to this place as I've seen many stores turnover at that corner. I hope everyone sees the value and supports them. Keep up the good work guys! I only have one tip! As a bald man, it isn't exciting going to the barber, unless you have some nice beard action going on. But once when I was on a trip in Spain I got my head buzzed and they gave a quick scalp massage at the end with some sort of cream or oil. I'm telling you... the baldies love the...

I have been going to maple barbershop for some time now and I recently heard they had opened a new spot and of course I was very excited to check it out and get a nice cut there. Upon arrival you can tell how well designed and how comforting the store looks through the glass window and you can see the barber shop is quality within all aspects of the business. Not only do I get the best haircuts from them I love the layout of the shop. Beautiful interior and well designed furniture. Very comfortable setting and is always clean. Always a great experience when going here and I highly recommend everyone I know to go here and anyone looking for a great haircut to go to maple barbershop. Best haircuts I ever...

Excellent shop nice old fashion style with a classic modern look the atmosphere in the shop is verry lively. It is a first come first serve shop which I love because I hate booking appointments. I honestly don’t have a favorite barber mostly because I usually go with which ever barber that calls my turn and have never been dissatisfied! The Ridgewood location is great too! As far as the price is concerned I think the price is right.. I’ve paid 40-50 dollars at other places, and those shop were not nearly as professional ,clean and well kept like maple barber shop.
