Maddalena's Catering and Banquets — Local services in Walker

Let me start by saying, I'm a Covid bride. I was originally supposed to get married May 2020, and had 3 dates in between, and then finally got married on August 1, 2021. Maddalena's was always my first choice for our wedding food, and when we had to switch venues, I wanted to ensure that I kept them for my new venue location. Amy Baird and the team over at Maddalena's stuck by my side for over TWO YEARS to ensure they were there for me on my big day. I received encouraging emails from Amy, check-in's, and updates. She was so communicative and always so positive. Amy is the real deal - someone who truly wants you to have your magical day and will do anything she can to ensure you will. If I could personally endorse Amy for President, I would. She is THAT good.

Now, onto the food. From our first tasting, we were blown away by how incredible the food was. You know how you attend some weddings and it just tastes...like wedding food? Bland, nothing special? NOT WITH MADDALENA'S! Their food is absolutely phenomenal. We had a chicken, beef and salmon option with the best potatoes, I truly don't even know what was IN those potatoes but I'm convinced it was heaven. The couscous, the vegetables...it was all so freaking good that my taste buds are still salivating. Our guests RAVED about the food, saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. They went out of their way to provide a vegan meal for a bridesmaid of mine, and kept the buffet line flowing and our guests happy. I mean, I just want to do our wedding day over and over again thanks to them.

Please, PLEASE use Maddalena's for your next wedding or catering event, you will not be disappointed. And if you have the absolute pleasure of working with Amy and her team, you are in the best hands. When we first started reading reviews of Maddalena’s Catering we were wondering why every post mentioned Amy, now we know why! Maddalena’s catered our wedding reception and the experience from beginning to end was phenomenal. Amy was more than accommodating with our special requests and went above and beyond to ensure our menu was exactly what we wanted on our big day, as she had the chef prepare non-menu items for us. She was an excellent communicator and even responded to our emails when she was on vacation! She could not have made us feel more special on the day of our wedding. She was at the venue from start to finish ensuring every detail we planned with her was executed. She was the first to come up and ask us what we wanted from the bar as soon as we sat down, she surprised the bride with a special entrée (she remembered how much we loved it during the tasting!), and even had a whole pizza waiting for us at the end of the night! Amy was like a ninja; she was there to catch anything (literally – the brides fork dropped and she was there with a new one before we knew anyone noticed), so that every detail went smoothly. We had so many guests comment about how amazing the food was during the event and many are still talking about it after. My now-husband and I chose Maddalena's Catering company as our covid plan B wedding caterers, and I couldn't have been more happy with my experience with them! First off, Amy, the catering manager, did everything she could to serve us in a short notice, even though they had other wedding that day. We met with her and got an in-person menu explanation, then taste testing with the chef, Matt. He was so knowledgeable about what meals travelled well and all the food he prepared. When my husband didn't like the topping on the chicken (since he doesn't like mushrooms, even though I LOVE mushrooms), the chef was willing to switch the sauce with the one we both loved.

The week of the event, Amy and her assistant came out to my private resident venue (yes - my covid venue) and scoped out the best spot for the buffet line and serving stations. She dropped off the linens for us prior too and was willing to pick them up after the event was done.

On the day of the wedding, Amy offered to get my husband and I our plates so we didn't have to stress about waiting in line! HOW AWESOME! Seriously they went above and beyond in ever way possible. Also, to top it off... they have the option of doing late night pizza delivery... which we did and it was amazing! 10/10 recommend them, and sooo glad I did my "Covid wedding" because it was better than my original plan thanks to...
