China Chef Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Walker

We got take-out here when we were moving our daughter into her GVSU dorm, in August 2020. Unfortunately, for whatever reason there appeared to be only one human running the entire place. We ordered online...and went there at the appointed time...but our food wasn't ready for a full HOUR after that. My daughter was actually crying in the car -- granted, she's widely known around here to be fairly dramatic.

But once we got our food, and took it to a park nearby -- oh man was it delicious! Worth the wait in my opinion, and in more normal times I'd think the service issue wouldn't have happened. I'm willing to give them another chance...if I'm in Walker again, since my daughter no longer goes to GVSU after...

I put my order in 4:19 and requested it to be ready at 5:45. My husband went in around 5:43, and they couldn't even figure out what the order was. When they finally figured it out they said it'd be ready in just a couple minutes. It wasn't ready until 6:02. They had 90 minutes to make the food. There's no excuse for it to be late. I had to deal with a screaming toddler in my car waiting for their lazy butts to make my food. We got home and they had put the sauce in sideways, so everything is a mess. Fried rice had no flavor. Sweet and sour chicken as meh. The orange chicken had a bone in it that cut my husband's mouth. Good thing my toddler...

I’m sure the food here is good, but as part of a member of concerned workers who work hard everyday and literally are not given time for fuel breaks or bathroom breaks between orders, it really is not good for us to have restaurants denying us bathroom use. According to a national page of drivers, your business has been indicated as such. Some of us have prostate or medical issue, and sometimes we are waiting for orders a long time, over 30 minutes at the store alone in busy times. If we leave to go somewhere else to use the bathroom, we get in trouble on the app. Please reconsider your policy. Advocate...
